Grain boundaries (GBs) and surface defects within perovskite films are inherent challenges that affect the photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs. In this work, Nylon 11 (N11) is utilized, a long-chain polymer, for post-treating the GBs and surface defects within FAPbI films. The multifunctional groups of N11 exhibit unique passivation abilities, enabling self-regulation and selective correction of reverse-charged defects. Post-treating with N11 results in high-quality FAPbI films characterized by tight GBs and low surface defect density. Despite fabrication under full open-air conditions, the N11 post-treatment significantly enhances the power conversion efficiency (PCE) value of FAPbI PSCs, increasing it from the reference value of 21.89% to 23.54%. Importantly, the long alkyl chain present in N11 significantly enhances the humidity stability of the PSCs. Unencapsulated PSCs treated with N11 maintain 89% of their initial PCE after exposure to air with 30% relative humidity (RH) for 1000 h, demonstrating resilience to elevated humidity levels. This work highlights the substantial improvement in the photovoltaic performance of PSCs achieved through the post-treatment with N11.

Reconstructing bone defects remains a significant challenge in clinical practice, driving the urgent need for advanced artificial grafts that simultaneously promote vascularization and osteogenesis. Addressing the critical trade-off between achieving high porosity/strength and effective bioactivity at safe ion doses, we incorporated strontium (Sr) into β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) scaffolds with a triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structure using digital light processing (DLP)-based three-dimensional (3D) printing. Systematically screening Sr concentrations (0-10 mol%), we identified 10 mol% as optimal, leveraging the synergy between the biomimetic TPMS architecture, providing exceptional mechanical strength (up to 1.

Nanoparticles in their pure colloidal form synthesized by laser-assisted processes such as laser ablation/fragmentation/irradiation/melting in liquids have attained much interest from the scientific community because of their specialties like facile synthesis, ultra-high purity, biocompatibility, colloidal stability in addition to other benefits like tunable size and morphology, crystalline phases, new compounds and alloys, and defect engineering. These nanocolloids are useful for fabricating different devices mainly with applications in optoelectronics, catalysis, sensors, photodetectors, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrates, and solar cells. In this review article, we describe different methods of nanocolloidal synthesis using laser-assisted processes and corresponding thin film fabrication methods, particularly those utilized for device fabrication and characterization.

Purpose: To report a case of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) initially presenting as orbital involvement, describe its successful management, and provide a comprehensive literature review.
Case Report: A 33-year-old female patient presented with swelling, redness, tenderness, and a mass under the left upper eyelid for one month. Upper lid eversion showed a multilobulated lesion in the subconjunctival area of the same region.

Background: This study investigates structural abnormalities in hippocampal subfield volumes and shapes, and their association with plasma CC chemokines in individuals with major depressive disorder (MDD).
Methods: A total of 61 patients with MDD and 65 healthy controls (HC) were recruited. All participants underwent high-resolution T1-weighted imaging and provided blood samples for the detection of CC chemokines (CCL2, CCL7, and CCL11).

In this study, we analyze InO thin-film transistors (InO-TFT) using synchrotron-based hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) in conditions. A bottom-gate InO-TFT with a high- AlO gate dielectric, grown on thermally oxidized silicon (SiO/p-Si), was examined while operating at varying and . The results reveal that the In 3d core level binding energy varies along the horizontal channel length, driven by the potential gradient induced by .
