This study identifies two distinct subgroups of patients with severe eosinophilic asthma who respond differently to mepolizumab. Cluster analysis reveals that patients with a family history of asthma, positive skin prick tests and higher baseline lung function have better treatment outcomes, highlighting the value of personalised treatment strategies.

Esophageal cancer (EC) is one of the most serious health issues around the world, ranking seventh among the most lethal types of cancer and eleventh among the most common types of cancer worldwide. Traditional therapies-such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy-often yield limited success, especially in the advanced stages of EC, prompting the pursuit of novel and more effective treatment strategies. Immunotherapy has emerged as a promising option; nonetheless, its clinical success is hindered by variable patient responses.

To understand movement adaptations and musculoskeletal disorders in pregnant women, kinetic analysis using pregnant-specific multi-segment or musculoskeletal models is essential. Ammonia (NH), a naturally occurring disinfectant in wastewater, plays an important role in inactivating pathogens, including viruses. Despite its importance in non-sewered sanitation systems, the inactivation rate constant attributed solely to ammonia ( [Formula: see text] ) remains unclear, owing to the diverse range of disinfection conditions in existing studies. Pediatric obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common yet often underdiagnosed condition, partly due to limited access to polysomnography. Mandibular jaw movement (MJM) analysis offers a promising alternative to conventional home sleep apnea testing in children, capturing the dynamic interactions between respiratory drive and upper airway musculature, enabling accurate identification of, and critical insights into, sleep-disordered breathing events. This technical and practical review provides a structured framework for understanding and interpreting MJM signals during sleep in pediatric patients.

Background: Ménière's disease (MD) remains a heterogeneous disorder with unclear pathogenesis. While immune dysregulation has been implicated, the specific role of CD4+ T cell subsets and their clinical correlations in MD are poorly understood.
Methods: We performed comprehensive immune profiling of 30 MD patients and 27 healthy controls using flow cytometry to analyze six CD4+ T cell subsets (Th1, Th2, Th17, Treg, TGF-β+, TNF-α+) and multiplex cytokine analysis of 16 inflammatory mediators plus IgE.
