Purpose Of Review: To provide a comprehensive overview of hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) in youth, identifying gaps in categorizing triglyceride (TG) levels and management strategies, and exploring new therapies for TG reduction.
Recent Findings: Non-fasting TG levels as important cardiovascular (CV) risk indicators, with HTG's pathophysiology involving genetic and secondary factors affecting TG metabolism. Emerging treatments, including those affecting the lipoprotein lipase complex and inhibiting proteins like apoC3 and ANGPTL3, show promise. The review highlights the need for specific management approaches for youth, the significance of non-fasting TG levels, and the potential of new therapies in reducing CV and pancreatitis risks, advocating for further research on these treatments' efficacy and safety.

Aims: The mixed-meal tolerance test (MMTT), though considered the gold standard for evaluating residual beta-cell function in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D), is impractical for routine use. We aimed to develop and validate a machine learning (ML) model to predict MMTT-stimulated C-peptide categories using routine clinical data.
Methods: Data from 319 individuals in the T1D Exchange Registry with complete MMTT and clinical information were analyzed.

Ramadan fasting involves abstaining from food and drink from dawn to sunset, yet its impact on blood pressure (BP) and kidney function in newly diagnosed hypertensive patients remains unclear. This retrospective study examined 200 newly diagnosed hypertensive patients from Konya, Turkey, during Ramadan 2023. Half of the patients (n = 100) observed daily fasting throughout Ramadan, while the other half (n = 100) did not.

Background: No previous studies have explored metabolites associated with both genetic predispositions to type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and T2DM onset. Therefore, we aimed to explore metabolic profiles using genetic risk to identify pathways for tailored T2DM prevention strategies.
