Perceived Stress and Society-Wide Moral Judgment.

Eur J Investig Health Psychol Educ

June 2025

Department of Educational Studies in Psychology, Research Methodology and Counseling, The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487, USA.

This study examines the relationship between perceived stress and society-wide moral judgment by integrating two influential frameworks: the neo-Kohlbergian approach and the CNI model of utilitarian-deontological decision-making. The neo-Kohlbergian approach to moral judgment proposes three moral schemas: (1) Personal Interest (PI), where decisions are self-focused; (2) Maintaining Norms (MN), which emphasizes adherence to social rules and norms; and (3) Postconventional (PC), where universal ethical principles are prioritized. The CNI model for Utilitarian-Deontological judgment features three psychological processes in decision-making: Sensitivity to Consequence, Sensitivity to Norm, and Inaction Preference.

Purpose: Calcineurin inhibitors (CNIs) are widely used to prevent organ rejection and manage autoimmune disorders. Although post-marketing evidence suggests an increased risk of central nervous system (CNS) infections associated with CNIs, this association has not been sufficiently elucidated. To address this gap, we conducted a pharmacovigilance analysis using real-world data to systematically identify and characterize the safety profile of CNI-related CNS infections, thereby providing robust evidence to inform their potential clinical risks.

Tacrolimus mitigates pathological patterns in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease.

Biomed Pharmacother

July 2025

Neuropharmacology Laboratory, Department of Pharmacology, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Electronic address:

Neuroinflammation and disruptions in glutamatergic neurotransmission are hallmark features of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Various compounds have been investigated for their potential to modulate these processes in this disease. Tacrolimus (FK506), a calcineurin inhibitor (CNI), has been suggested as a candidate for the treatment of AD, although its effects and possible mechanisms have not been extensively evaluated.

Mapping the Cyberthreat Landscape in Healthcare Using GDELT: A Multimethod Approach.

Cyberattacks that target critical national infrastructure, such as hospitals, pose a significant threat to the safety and wellbeing of individuals, as evidenced by incidents like the WannaCry worldwide ransomware attack. To better understand vulnerabilities within the healthcare sector and develop preventive measures, it is crucial to examine the evolving nature of cyberthreats and the types of attacks occurring. In this article, we describe a multimethod approach comprising social networks analysis, natural language processing, and machine learning, using data from GDELT (Global Database of Events, Language, and Tone), to identify the prevalence of attacks on hospitals while considering the type of attack and its date.

Background: Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) represents a major complication after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT). In 2009 and 2018 a survey among German, Austrian, and Swiss transplant centers showed a homogeneous 1-line treatment practice, while 2nd-line treatment as well as management of progressive onset type and bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS) displayed significant heterogeneity. Since the last survey, ruxolitinib (rux) has been approved and other new agents are explored in treatment of cGVHD.
