Purpose This study aims to compare the initial three-month outcomes of a single-center experience with small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) for correction of myopia and myopic astigmatism using the VisuMax 500 (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany) versus the VisuMax 800 (SMILE Pro®; Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany). This experience is compared to the US Food and Drug Administration approval studies and published literature. Patients and methods The initial 45 eyes (23 patients) that underwent SMILE with the VisuMax 500 in 2018 were compared with the initial 42 eyes (21 patients) that underwent SMILE Pro® with the VisuMax 800 in 2024.

Radiomics nomogram from multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging for preoperative prediction of substantial lymphovascular space invasion in endometrial cancer.

Abdom Radiol (NY)

September 2025

Department of Radiology, Fujian Maternity and Child Health Hospital, College of Clinical Medicine for Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics, Fujian Medical University, Fuzhou, China.

Background: We aimed to develop and validate a radiomics-based machine learning nomogram using multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging to preoperatively predict substantial lymphovascular space invasion in patients with endometrial cancer.

Methods: This retrospective dual-center study included patients with histologically confirmed endometrial cancer who underwent preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The patients were divided into training and test sets.

Background: Cognitive frailty (CF), characterised by the co-occurrence of physical frailty and mild cognitive impairment, poses significant risks for adverse health outcomes in community-dwelling older adults, yet effective prediction tools remain limited.

Objective: This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram model for predicting CF risk in community-dwelling older adults based on multidimensional mental and physical functional markers.

Methods: A cross-sectional analysis included 481 participants (mean age 69.

Osteoporosis is a prevalent metabolic bone disorder with complex molecular underpinnings. Emerging evidence implicates endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) in its pathogenesis; however, systematic exploration of ERS-related genes (ERSRGs) remains limited. This study aimed to identify ERS-related differentially expressed genes (ERSRDEGs) in osteoporosis, construct a diagnostic model, and elucidate associated molecular mechanisms.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of Ga-PSMA-11 PET/MRI in prostate cancer (PC) with biochemical recurrence (BCR) after radical prostatectomy (RP). It was also aimed to develop a nomogram to predict PET/MRI positivity.

Methods: The data of 140 PC patients who underwent Ga-PSMA-11 PET/MRI for BCR after RP were retrospectively analyzed.
