The multifunctional systems presented here introduce an innovative and deeply thought-out approach to the more effective and safer use of temozolomide (TMZ) in treating glioma. The developed hydrogel-based flakes were designed to address the issues of local GBL therapy, bacterial neuroinfections, and the bleeding control needed during tumor resection. The materials obtained comprise TMZ and vancomycin (VANC) loaded into cyclodextrin/polymeric capsules and embedded into gelatin/hyaluronic acid/chitosan-based hydrogel films cross-linked with genipin.

To evaluated the efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in improving laryngeal mucosal wound scar healing in vivo and investigated its underlying mechanisms. Laryngeal mucosal wounds were induced in Sprague-Dawley rats. Two weeks post-injury, PDT was administered via intraperitoneal injection of 100 mg/kg 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) and 635-nm red laser irradiation at varying energy doses (15, 30, and 45 J/cm²).

Background: Necklines are a common complaint in patients as they are a sign of aging. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are widely used to address volume loss and linear depressions. HA fillers are safe, effective, and versatile, but their use for necklines is not well-documented in the literature.

Fibrotic scarring remains a critic obstacle to axonal regeneration after spinal cord injury (SCI). Current strategies primarily concentrating on eliminating extracellular matrix (ECM) components neglect their dispensable roles in maintaining tissue integrity. Here, it is reported that the mechanical strength of an integrated hydrogel composed of hyaluronic acid-graft-dopamine and HRR peptide directs fibroblast migration, determining ECM deposition.

Purpose: This European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) formal consensus aims to provide evidence- and expert opinion-based recommendations for the use of point-of-care- and expanded-cell-based therapy (CBT) in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (OA), focusing on indications, preparation, and administration.
Methods: A multidisciplinary group of 77 leading experts in musculoskeletal regenerative medicine from 22 European Countries formed a steering group, a rating group, and a reader group. The steering group developed 23 questions, originating from 27 statements.
