With the gradual expansion of mining scale in open-pit coal mines, slope safety problems are increasingly diversified and complicated. In order to reduce the potential loss caused by slope sliding and reduce the major threat to the safety of life and property of residents in the mining area, this study selected two mining areas in Xinjiang as cases and focused on the relationship between phase noise and deformation. The study predicts the specific time point of slope sliding by analyzing the dynamic history correlation tangent angle between the two. Firstly, the time series data of the micro-variation monitoring radar are used to obtain the small deformation of the study area by differential InSAR (D-InSAR), and the phase noise is extracted from the radar echo in the sequence data. Then, the volume of the deformation body is calculated by analyzing the small deformation at each time point, and the standard deviation of the phase noise is calculated accordingly. Finally, the sliding time of the deformation body is predicted by combining the tangent angle of the ratio of the volume of the deformation body to the standard deviation of the phase noise. The results show that the maximum deformation rates of the deformation bodies in the studied mining areas reach 10.1 mm/h and 6.65 mm/h, respectively, and the maximum deformation volumes are 2,619,521.74 mm and 2,503,794.206 mm, respectively. The predicted landslide time is earlier than the actual landslide time, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. This prediction method can effectively identify the upcoming sliding events and the characteristics of the slope, provide more accurate and reliable prediction results for the slope monitoring staff, and significantly improve the efficiency of slope monitoring and early warning.

Quantum imaging with spatially entangled photons offers advantages such as enhanced spatial resolution, robustness against noise, and counterintuitive phenomena, while a biphoton spatial aberration generally degrades its performance. Biphoton aberration correction has been achieved by using classical beams to detect the aberration source or scanning the correction phase on biphotons if the source is unreachable. Here, a new method named position-correlated biphoton Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensing is introduced, where the phase pattern added on photon pairs with a strong position correlation is reconstructed from their position centroid distribution at the back focal plane of a microlens array.

3D imaging based on phase-shifting structured light is widely used in industrial measurement due to its non-contact nature. However, it typically requires a large number of additional images (multi-frequency heterodyne (M-FH) method) or introduces intensity features that compromise accuracy (space domain modulation phase-shifting (SDM-PS) method) for phase unwrapping, and it remains sensitive to motion. To overcome these issues, this article proposes a nonlinear phase coding-based stereo phase unwrapping (NPC-SPU) method that requires no additional patterns while maintaining measurement accuracy.

Objective: Upcoming neuroscientific research will require bidirectional and context dependent interaction with nervous tissue. To facilitate the future neuroscientific discoveries we have created HarPULL, a genuinely real-time system for tracking oscillatory brain state.
Approach: The HarPULL technology ensures reliable, accurate and affordable real-time phase and amplitude tracking based on the state-space estimation framework operationalized by Kalman filtering.

Holography is a promising approach to recreate lifelike 3D scenes. However, due to the current Spatial Light Modulators (SLMs) lacking sufficient pixels, the defocused planes of holograms always exhibit obvious interference phenomena. The methods based on random phase can alleviate this problem, but they always affect the imaging quality of the focal plane.

To achieve high detectivity in organic photodetectors, the suppression of the dark current density and the improvement of responsivity are necessary at the same time. In this work, we introduce a polymer donor overlayer on top of the high-acceptor-content bulk heterojunction film to minimize the randomness of charge pathways in the mixed phase of donor/acceptor blends. This design strategy of the active layer successfully suppresses the dark current density to 2.
