Concurrent recording of electroencephalogram (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) signals reveals cross-scale neurovascular dynamics crucial for explaining fundamental linkages between function and behaviors. However, MRI scanners generate artifacts for EEG detection. Despite existing denoising methods, cabled connections to EEG receivers are susceptible to environmental fluctuations inside MRI scanners, creating baseline drifts that complicate EEG signal retrieval from the noisy background.

A healthy endometrium is crucial for embryo implantation and pregnancy maintenance. Thin endometrium, reduced glands and fibrosis resulting from infection or mechanical injury, are the primary causes of long-term infertility and poor pregnancy outcomes. Unfortunately, these issues have not been resolved by conventional clinical methods.

Hydrogen-Bonded Bottlebrush Copolymers Carrying "Two-in-One" Prodrug for Boosting Synergistic Chemo/Photothermal Antitumor Therapy.

Biomacromolecules

Employing hydrogen-bonded (H-bonded) bottlebrush architecture to realize intelligent therapeutics is particularly advantageous but rare. Herein, we target the construction of H-bond-mediated supramolecular bottlebrush copolymer micelles, FU-IR780@P1, for synergistic cancer chemo/photothermal therapies (CT/PTT). To do so, we first design an H-bonding amphiphilic bottlebrush random copolymer carrier, P(NBDAP--NBPEO) (i.

Rapid geographical origin identification and functional compound content prediction of Chrysanthemum ("Gongju") using excitation-emission matrix fluorescence spectroscopy coupled with chemometrics.

Food Chem

November 2025

National Key Laboratory for Quality Ensurance and Sustainable Use of Dao-di Herbs, National Resource Center for Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Beijing 100700, PR China; Evaluation and Research Center of Daodi Herbs of Jiangxi Province, Ganjiang New District, 33000

Gongju (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat.), an edible flower widely consumed in East Asia, shows quality variations depending on its geographical origins and functional compound contents. This study proposes a "two-in-one" strategy that utilizes excitation-emission matrix (EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy combined with chemometrics to simultaneously identify the geographical origin of Gongju and quantify its functional compounds.

Venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO) often leads to left ventricular (LV) overload, particularly in patients with biventricular cardiogenic shock. This increased afterload can hinder cardiac muscle recovery and cause pulmonary edema, thereby impairing systemic oxygenation. Although devices such as the Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) are used to manage this issue, they require complex procedures and pose risks for bleeding and vascular complications.
