In an era of expanding reproductive possibilities, the human embryo has come to represent both immense potential and profound constraint. Advances in medically assisted reproduction (MAR) have led to the cryopreservation of hundreds of thousands of embryos each year, yet many remain unused and are ultimately discarded. Meanwhile, studies aimed at understanding infertility, early human development and preventing miscarriage continue to face significant barriers, with only a small fraction of embryos ever donated to research.

Silkworms are emerging as a sustainable food source to address global food security, with their proteins recognized for nutritional and medicinal benefits. However, the impact of silkworm oil on immunological and pharmacological effects remains unexplored. This study explores the effects of the muga (Antheraea assamensis Helfer) silkworm pupal oil fraction (MP) on palmitic acid (PA) induced hepatic steatosis, inflammation, and oxidative stress.

Objectives: Patients with connective tissue diseases (CTD) have a high incidence of cardiac involvement, which often presents insidiously and can progress rapidly, making it one of the leading causes of death. Multiparametric cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) provides a comprehensive quantitative evaluation of myocardial injury and is emerging as a valuable tool for detecting cardiac involvement in CTD. This study aims to investigate the correlations between CMR features and serological biomarkers in CTD patients, assess their potential clinical value, and further explore the impact of pre-CMR immunotherapy intensity on CMR-specific parameters, thereby evaluating the role of CMR in the early diagnosis of CTD-related cardiac involvement.

Background: Effective risk communication is essential in managing cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of global mortality. Clear communication between patients and physicians supports informed decision-making, yet comprehension gaps persist. We aimed to assess the quality of risk communication during hospital admissions for cardiovascular events, from patient and physician perspectives, and identify discrepancies in risk perception and associated factors.

Transition metal (TM) doped boron clusters have attracted considerable attention due to their intriguing electronic structures and diverse bonding patterns. Here, we explore the structural evolution and electronic properties of anionic Pt doped boron clusters using the CALYPSO method and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The global minimum structures exhibit a distinct morphological transition.
