Article Abstract

Successful treatment of pemphigus foliaceus (PF) often requires a multimodal therapeutic approach. The dog described herein underwent four therapeutic plasma exchange treatments for severe, refractory PF, resulting in a 50% reduction of lesional body surface area. This treatment option should be considered for the management of canine PF.

Background: Population pharmacokinetic models can potentially provide suggestions for an initial dose and the magnitude of dose adjustment during therapeutic drug monitoring procedures of imatinib. Several population pharmacokinetic models for imatinib have been developed over the last two decades. However, their predictive performance is still unknown when extrapolated to different populations, especially children.

Introduction And Hypothesis: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) combined with fractional CO laser therapy in women diagnosed with mild or moderate stress urinary incontinence (SUI).

Methods: In this single-center, single-blinded, randomized controlled trial, 69 women diagnosed with mild or moderate SUI were randomly assigned to receive fractional CO laser therapy, PRP injections, or a combination of both treatments (n = 23 per group). Each participant underwent three treatment sessions at 30-day intervals.

Myasthenia gravis (MG) presents significant health and economic challenges. To identify novel biomarkers, we analyzed proteomic data from 52,704 UK Biobank individuals, focusing on 1463 baseline proteins with follow-up >10 years. Baseline and potential MG cases were 1:5 matched to controls by using propensity score matching.

B cells located in tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) may undergo clonal expansion, somatic hypermutation, isotype switching, and tumor-specific antibody production, suggesting that antibody-producing plasma cells may be involved in antitumor immunity. This study used a combination of single-cell sequencing (five samples from our center, and four samples from PRJNA662018) and spatial transcriptome (one sample from our center, and four samples from GSE169379) research methods to investigate the relationship between TLSs and the immunoglobulin repertoire in muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). 405 patients with MIBC from TCGA and 348 patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma on PD-L1 inhibitor treatment from the IMvigor210 trial were included in this study.
