To investigate the pollution characteristics and formation mechanism of ambient air ozone(O) in a typical tropical seaside city, we conducted an observational experiment on O and its precursors at an urban site in Haikou, Hainan Province, from June to October 2019. The O pollution characteristics were analyzed comprehensively; the O-NO-VOCs sensitivities and key precursors were determined, and the control strategies for O pollution were carried out. The results were as follows:1 O pollution in Haikou mainly occurred in September and October, with daily maximum 8-h O concentrations in the range of 39-190 μg·m, and the daily variation in O was unimodal, peaking at approximately 14:00. 2 The concentrations of NO and VOCs were higher during O pollution episodes than their respective mean values in Haikou City. The increased O precursor concentrations were an important factor leading to O pollution, whereas O pollution was also influenced by regional transport, with pollutants mainly transported from the northeastern part of Haikou City. 3 O-NO-VOCs sensitivity in Haikou City was in the VOCs and NO transitional regime, and the most sensitive precursors in various months were different. O formation in September was sensitive to anthropogenic VOCs the most; however, in October it was sensitive to NO. 4 In the future, the reduction ratio of VOCs to NO should be 1:1-4:1 to control O pollution effectively in Haikou.

Background: Although current evidence supports the effectiveness of social norm feedback (SNF) interventions, their sustained integration into primary care remains limited. Drawing on the elements of the antimicrobial SNF intervention strategy identified through the Delphi-based evidence applicability evaluation, this study aims to explore the barriers and facilitators to its implementation in primary care institutions, thereby informing future optimization.
Methods: Based on the five domains of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), we developed semi-structured interview and focus group discussion guides.

Marine vessels play a vital role in the global economy; however, their negative impact on the marine atmospheric environment is a growing concern. Quantifying marine vessel emissions is an essential prerequisite for controlling these emissions and improving the marine atmospheric environment. Optical imaging remote sensing is a vital technique for quantifying marine vessel emissions.

China's aluminum-products industry, a large-scale consumer of industrial paints, is a potentially significant source of full-volatility organic compounds (F-VOCs). However, the emission characteristics of F-VOCs, including VOCs, intermediate-, semi-, and low-volatility organic compounds (I/S/LVOCs), and their role in ozone formation potentials (OFP), and secondary organic aerosol formation potentials (SOAP) remain unclear. In this study, we collected in-field samples from three industrial paints (solvent-based, water-based and powder paints) at spraying and drying processes, and treatment devices to analyze the emission characteristics of F-VOCs, OFP, SOAP.

This study aimed to compare the species and functional diversity of macrobenthic communities between natural and planted mangrove ecosystems. Samples were collected from two mangrove sites in the Gulf of Oman. Physicochemical properties of water and sediment characteristics were analyzed to assess their correlation with community structure.

River water quality degradation is a prevailing problem in coastal China with intensifying human-nature interaction. However, the spatial and temporal dynamics of water quality and their drivers remain poorly understood. In this study, we developed an analytical framework integrating self-organizing mapping (SOM) with partial least squares structural equation models (PLS-SEMs) to analyze the patterns and drivers of river water quality at 49 stations from 2021 to 2023 in Fujian Province, a coastal region in southeastern China.
