By the coordination assembly of a redox photoactive functional motif and a cyanide-bridged moiety, a cyanide-bridged Mn-Fe compound with large photoinduced magnetic change at room-temperature due to photoinduced electron transfer was obtanied. This compound also shows unprecedented radical-quenched spin glass in molecule based magnets.

Introduction: Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF) is based on a less-invasive access corridor through the retroperitoneum and psoas muscle, though concerns persist over postoperative weakness and neuropathy on the surgical side. This study investigates if the trans-psoas LLIF approach is associated with long-term changes in psoas morphology, hip flexor (HF) weakness, and lower extremity dysesthesia.
Methods: The authors retrospectively reviewed all LLIF cases at a single institution from January 2016 to June 2024.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) opens a window on observing spontaneous activities of the human brain in vivo. However, the high complexity of fMRI signals makes brain functional representations intractable. Here, we introduce a state decomposition method to reduce this complexity and decipher individual brain functions at multiple levels.

This study examines changes in air pollution by magnetic iron compounds and heavy metals, as identified through magnetic susceptibility and Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Pb, Ni, and Cr content measurements on air filters collected monthly during the pre-war (PW-01.2016-12.2018) and war (W-08.

Magnetic-field enhancement of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) represents a promising route toward more efficient alkaline water electrolyzers, yet its origin remains debated due to overlapping effects of mass transport and reaction kinetics. Here, we present a general experimental strategy that employs strong forced convection to suppress uncontrolled transport arising from natural diffusion and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows. Using polycrystalline Au electrodes, we show that this approach resolves subtle OER variations under controlled flow and field conditions.

Background: Serial perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) in symptomatic patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) may provide mechanistic insight into dynamic abnormalities of the myocardium.
Objectives: To assess how changes in cardiac reperfusion and remodelling associate with symptom improvement in patients undergoing CABG METHODS: Patients awaiting elective CABG completed serial quality of life questionnaires and detailed CMR at baseline and at 6-12 months post CABG as per protocol. Automated fully quantitative stress and rest myocardial blood flow was calculated, alongside assessment of the visual ischaemic burden.
