Background: The gut microbiota plays a crucial role in the development of glioma. With the evolution of artificial intelligence technology, applying AI to analyze the vast amount of data from the gut microbiome indicates the potential that artificial intelligence and computational biology hold in transforming medical diagnostics and personalized medicine.
Methods: We conducted metagenomic sequencing on stool samples from 42 patients diagnosed with glioma after operation and 30 non-intracranial tumor patients and developed a Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM) machine learning model to predict the glioma patients based on the gut microbiome data.

Embryonic-type neuroectodermal tumor (ENT; previously referred to as primitive neuroectodermal tumor, PNET) of the testis and gynecologic tract share morphologic features with small round blue cell tumors, including Ewing sarcoma (ES), yet are biologically, therapeutically, and prognostically distinct. The diagnosis of ENT can be challenging, and it is unclear if there are reliable biomarkers that can be used to confirm this diagnosis. This study characterized 50 ENTs arising from the testis (n=38) and gynecologic tract (n=12; 7 ovary/5 uterus) with 27 biomarkers (AE1/AE3, ATRX, CD99, chromogranin-A, Cyclin D1, Fli-1, GFAP, GLUT-1, IDH1/2, INSM1, MTAP, NANOG, Nestin, neurofilament, NKX2.

Rationale: Cesarean scar pregnancy with molar pregnancy is a rare but high-risk pregnancy complication characterized by the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterine scar following cesarean section, accompanied by pathological manifestations of a hydatidiform mole. This paper reports a clinical case of hydatidiform mole in a cesarean scar and reviews the literature to understand its diagnosis and treatment strategies.
Patient Concerns: We reported a 33-year-old woman who presented to our hospital with intermittent vaginal bleeding for over 2 months following uterine curettage.

Adaptive therapy (AT) protocols have been introduced to combat drug resistance in cancer, and are characterized by breaks from maximum tolerated dose treatment (the current standard of care in most clinical settings). These breaks are scheduled to maintain tolerably high levels of tumor burden, employing competitive suppression of treatment-resistant sub-populations by treatment-sensitive sub-populations. AT has been integrated into several ongoing or planned clinical trials, including treatment of metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, and BRAF-mutant melanoma, with initial clinical results suggesting that it can offer significant extensions in the time to progression over the standard of care.
