Reactive arthritis is an acute inflammatory aseptic arthritis that is preceded by an infectious process in genetically predisposed individuals. It has been associated with gastrointestinal or genitourinary infection. Reactive arthritis is rare in children. In this review, we present two index cases that need biologic treatment followed by a thorough review of reactive arthritis in children and adolescents with proposed treatment algorithm.

The NOD‑like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is a key molecular complex that amplifies inflammatory cascades by maturing interleukin‑1 beta (IL-1β) and interleukin‑18 (IL-18) and inducing pyroptosis. It serves as a major driver and co-driver of numerous diseases associated with chronic inflammation. Dysregulated NLRP3 activation contributes to the progression of disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, neurodegenerative diseases and atherosclerosis.

Objective: This research aimed at evaluating the effectiveness and safety of nitazoxanide and escitalopram as adjuvant therapies in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Methods: In this randomized controlled parallel study, 90 patients with active RA were randomized into three groups; group 1 (control group; n = 30) which received traditional therapy, group 2 (Nitazoxanide group; n = 30) which received traditional therapy plus 1 gm/day oral nitazoxanide, and group 3 (Escitalopram group; n = 30) which received traditional therapy plus 10 mg/day oral escitalopram for three months. At baseline and 3 months after treatment, clinical and functional assessments were done through the 28-joint count disease activity score using C-reactive protein (DAS28-CRP), the health assessment questionnaire-disability index (HAQ-DI), and the patient's global assessment (PGA).
Introduction: Endothelial dysfunction has been reported in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients without classical cardiovascular risk factors, but findings remain inconsistent.
Objectives: To assess whether endothelial function is impaired in RA with moderate inflammatory burden in the absence of established cardiovascular risk factors.
Patients And Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in 64 patients with RA without classical CV risk factors and 60 healthy age- and sex-matched controls.

This study aims to elucidate the relationship between the triglyceride-glucose index (TyG) index and perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) risk. A total of 306 patients diagnosed with perimenopausal AUB at our hospital between January 2022 and December 2023 were enrolled. Using a TyG index cutoff of 0.

Iron is an essential trace element for the human body, but having too much or too little of it can cause various biological issues. When ferrous ions react with hydrogen peroxide, they create highly reactive and soluble hydroxyl radicals that can damage cells through oxidation. This reaction, known as the Fenton reaction, can cause lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.
