: Tofacitinib (TOFA) was the first Janus kinase inhibitor (JAKi) to be approved for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, data on the retention rate of TOFA therapy are still far from definitive. : The goal of this study is to add new real-world data on the TOFA retention rate in a cohort of RA patients followed for a long period of time. : A multicenter retrospective study of RA subjects treated with TOFA as monotherapy or in combination with conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs) was conducted in 23 Italian tertiary rheumatology centers. The study considered a treatment period of up to 48 months for all included patients. The TOFA retention rate was assessed with the Kaplan-Meier method. Hazard ratios (HRs) for TOFA discontinuation were obtained using Cox regression analysis. : We enrolled a total of 213 patients. Data analysis revealed that the TOFA retention rate was 86.5% (95% CI: 81.8-91.5%) at month 12, 78.8% (95% CI: 78.8-85.2%) at month 24, 63.8% (95% CI: 55.1-73.8%) at month 36, and 59.9% (95% CI: 55.1-73.8%) at month 48 after starting treatment. None of the factors analyzed, including the number of previous treatments received, disease activity or duration, presence of rheumatoid factor and/or anti-citrullinated protein antibody, and presence of comorbidities, were predictive of the TOFA retention rate. Safety data were comparable to those reported in the registration studies. : TOFA demonstrated a long retention rate in RA in a real-world setting. This result, together with the safety data obtained, underscores that TOFA is a viable alternative for patients who have failed treatment with csDMARD and/or biologic DMARDs (bDMARDs). Further large, long-term observational studies are urgently needed to confirm these results.

Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) have emerged as promising cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) due to their low cost, simple preparation, and high theoretical specific capacity. The integration of high-entropy concepts with framework-structured PBAs has pioneered a new pathway for performance optimization in SIBs cathodes. However, most scholars have only studied the five elements constituting high entropy as a whole, while challenges such as the role of each element and optimization of the proportions among constituent elements remain unresolved.

The Indian Sundarban Delta (ISD), located at the confluence of the Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna river system along India's eastern coast, is among the world's most geomorphologically dynamic and environmentally vulnerable deltaic systems. Over the past five decades, the region has undergone substantial morphodynamic changes driven by natural forces such as relative sea-level rise, wave action, and sediment flux, as well as anthropogenic factors like upstream water regulation via dams and barrages. This study examines the long-term evolution of shoreline and island morphology across the ISD from 1972 to 2025 using multi-temporal Landsat datasets under consistent tidal conditions.

Minoritized racial, ethnic, sexual, and gender communities and populations face profound health disparities and their engagement in research remains low. In a randomized controlled trial, our community-based participatory research partnership tested the efficacy of ChiCAS, an HIV prevention intervention designed to increase pre-exposure prophylaxis use among Spanish-speaking transgender Latinas. Of 161 eligible Spanish-speaking transgender Latinas screened, we enrolled 144, achieving an 89% participation rate, and retained 94% at 6-month follow-up.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) represent an environmentally benign energy storage alternative. However, the VO cathode suffers from limited cycling stability and rate capability due to structural instability, vanadium dissolution, and high desolvation energy caused by the large size of [Zn(HO)] deintercalation. Address these issues, we introduce a VO/VOPO (VOP) heterostructure that that reinforces the crystal structure to suppress vanadium dissolution and establishes a hydrophilic interface reducing the desolvation energy of Zn.

The rational design of electrode materials with outstanding energy and power density for supercapacitors (SCc) and high-performance electrocatalysts in alkaline media plays an indispensable role in the application of energy storage and overall water splitting. In this paper, we prepared NiCoFe layered ternary hydroxides (LTH) using a hydrothermal synthesis method. The sample with a Ni/Co/Fe ratio of 1:2:0.
