The humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) is a marine fish of significant commercial value and has been identified as a potential candidate for marine aquaculture. In this research, a cell line named as CAS cells was developed from the spleen tissue of the humpback grouper. This cell line has been successfully passaged for over 100 passages, with most cells exhibiting a fibroblast-like morphology.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) have gained attention due to their chemical stability, bioaccumulation potential, and toxicity. The ocean serves as the ultimate sink for these compounds in the global environment. With the rapid development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, environmental pollution on Hainan Island has consequently become more pronounced.

To halt and reverse the trends of ecosystem loss and degradation under global change, nations globally are promoting ecosystem restoration. Restoration is particularly crucial to coastal wetlands (including tidal marshes, mangrove forests, and tidal flats), which are among the most important ecosystems on Earth but have been severely depleted and degraded. In this review, we explore the question of how to make restoration more effective for coastal wetlands in light of the often-overlooked dynamic nature of these transitional ecosystems between land and ocean.

Unlabelled: Cervical spinal cord injury (SCI) impairs sensorimotor and autonomic functions. We investigated the effects of lumbosacral transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation (tSCS) on urinary bladder, bowel, and sexual function as well as cardiovascular and sensorimotor functions in one individual with chronic clinically motor-complete cervical SCI, 11 years post-injury. Following 30 sessions of lumbosacral tSCS, the individual presented with improved urinary bladder compliance as well as anorectal function in parallel with mitigation of the severity of autonomic dysreflexia during filling cystometry and anorectal manometry.

Due to human activities and the invasion of , the population of () in the Yangtze River Estuary has gradually declined. To address this issue, numerous restoration efforts have been undertaken. To investigate the changes and influencing factors of soil bacterial communities during the restoration of wetlands, we selected populations as the research focus and divided the samples into two years, S1 and S2.
