FGF9-FGFR2 Signaling via Osteocytes-Preosteoblasts Crosstalks to Mediate Mechanotransduction-Driven Intramembranous Osteogenesis in the Underdeveloped Maxilla.

Adv Sci (Weinh)

Maxillary underdevelopment is a critical component of skeletal Class III malocclusion, closely linked to altered biomechanical signaling. Mechanical stimulation through early facemask protraction can effectively promote maxillary growth, yet the underlying mechanotransduction mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, fibroblast growth factor 9 (FGF9) is identified as a key biomechanical responder in maxillary development.

Enhanced *COOH Adsorption over Edge-Rich Ni-N Sites for Efficient Acidic CO Electroreduction.

Single-atom Ni catalysts hold great promise for the acidic CO reduction reaction (CORR), owing to their high CO selectivity. However, their performance under industrially relevant high current conditions is limited by the weak interaction between isolated Ni-N sites and *COOH intermediates, restricting efficient CO conversion. Here, we introduced edge-rich Ni-N sites via support vacancy engineering to enhance *COOH adsorption, thereby boosting the CORR activity and selectivity in acidic media.

Purpose: To develop a rapid 2D free-running myocardial mapping technique that is robust to through-plane respiratory motion.

Methods: A free-running golden angle radial sequence consisting of encoding and self-navigated auto motion calibration (SNAC) was developed. The encoding adopted inversion recovery (IR) prepared interleaved multi-slice acquisition with optimized inter-slice gap to ensure a uniform excitation of the middle slice regardless of through-plane respiratory motion.
