Postbiotics are commonly defined as preparations of inanimate probiotics and/or their cellular components and/or their metabolites/end products that confer health benefits on the host. They have been suggested as a promising strategy to limit infectious diseases. Emerging evidence support the efficacy of the postbiotic derived from cow's milk fermentation with the probiotic CBAL74 (FM-CBAL74) in preventing pediatric infectious diseases. We aimed at reviewing the evidence available.

Over recent decades, the indiscriminate use of antibiotics in animal production to enhance product quality and maximize economic returns has raised critical concerns. However, antibiotic misuse has led to the development of antimicrobial resistance in livestock and poses substantial health risks to humans through drug residue accumulation. In response, nations globally have progressively implemented bans on antibiotic inclusion in animal nutrition, redirecting scientific attention toward antibiotic-free feed additives that maintain or enhance animal health performance.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, poses significant therapeutic challenges due to its complex etiology and limited treatment options. Traditional pharmacotherapies targeting amyloid-β (Aβ) and cholinergic pathways offer modest benefits and are often associated with adverse effects. Emerging evidence implicates gut dysbiosis and the gut-brain axis in the pathogenesis and progression of AD.

This study assessed the effects of feeding Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation-derived postbiotic (SCFP) on methane production and plasma metabolome of Holstein steers on a finishing diet. Twelve Holstein steers (n = 6 per treatment) were enrolled in a randomized complete block design and blocked into 3 groups based on their initial body weight (BW: 294 ± 12.7 kg).

Background And Aim: The global rise in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has rendered many conventional antibiotics less effective, particularly against nosocomial pathogens such as , , , and . This study investigated the antimicrobial and synergistic effects of postbiotics derived from , , , and , administered alone or in combination with either linezolid (for ) or amikacin (for Gram-negative strains).
Materials And Methods: Postbiotics were obtained through anaerobic fermentation, followed by centrifugation and filtration.

Probiotics present a promising preventive strategy for addressing urinary tract infections (UTIs) and serve as a viable alternative to conventional antimicrobial treatments. The integration of Lactobacillus-derived efflux pump inhibitors (EPIs) with conventional antibiotics presents a promising strategy to enhance the efficacy of treatments against antibiotic-resistant superbugs. In this study, we isolated eight vaginal Lactobacillus spp.
