Advanced endometrial clear cell carcinoma (CCC) tends to have poor prognosis owing to aggressive clinical behavior and poor response to conventional chemotherapy. Herein, we report a case of platinum-refractory recurrent ECCC successfully treated with the combination of pembrolizumab, localized radiotherapy and a few cycles of chemotherapy with an extremely durable response even after cessation of immunotherapy for 3 years at the time of publication.

Background: Melanoma is one of the most immunogenic malignancies, yet resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) remains a major obstacle to durable therapeutic success. Emerging evidence indicates that aging-related processes, including cellular senescence and immunosenescence, can reshape the tumor microenvironment (TME) to favor immune evasion and disease progression. Senescent melanoma and stromal cells secrete a senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) that alters immune cell recruitment and function, while immunosenescence leads to diminished cytotoxic responses and the accumulation of dysfunctional or suppressive immune subsets.

Hydrogen embrittlement (HE) poses a significant challenge to the durability of materials used in hydrogen production and utilization. Disentangling the competing nanoscale mechanisms driving HE often relies on simulations and electron-transparent sample techniques, limiting experimental insights into hydrogen-induced dislocation behavior in bulk materials. This study employs in situ Bragg coherent X-ray diffraction imaging to track three-dimensional (3D) dislocation and strain field evolution during hydrogen charging in a bulk grain of austenitic 316 stainless steel.

Purpose Of Review: Nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients with BCG-unresponsive disease have limited treatment options beyond radical cystectomy. With ongoing BCG shortages and the urgent need for bladder-preserving alternatives, this review examines the emerging role of oncolytic virus therapy as a novel intravesical treatment approach for this challenging patient population.
Recent Findings: Multiple oncolytic viral platforms have entered clinical trials for NMIBC treatment, demonstrating promising efficacy and safety profiles.
