Article Abstract

Designing efficient and stable non-noble metal electrocatalysts with good performance in reaction kinetics is desirable yet challenging for the study of methanol oxidation reaction (MOR). Herein, we have reported well-defined nanoscale nickel/nickel oxide (Ni/NiO) heterostructures supported by a three-dimensional (3D) porous graphene network (RG) via a delicate interface engineering technique. The as-prepared 3D Ni/NiO/RG composites achieve outstanding catalytic activity (79.5 mA cm/1262.1 mA mg) for MOR in alkaline solution, outperforming most reported non-precious catalysts. A combined experimental and computational investigation shows that such a good performance benefits from the specific Ni/NiO interface, which not only bears abundant accessible active sites but also improves the energetics of MOR. Moreover, this interface contributes to favorable kinetic and improved structural stability during electrocatalysis, ensuring superior catalytic performance after 1000 consecutive cyclic voltammetry tests for MOR. Our work demonstrates the potential of interface engineering in the rational design of efficient precious-metal-free electrocatalysts.

Dopamine (DA) signaling is essential for neurodevelopment and is particularly sensitive to disruption during adolescence. Protein restriction (PR) can impair DA dynamics, yet mechanistic insights remain limited due to challenges in real-time neurochemical sensing. Here, we present aptCFE, a robust implantable aptamer-based sensor fabricated via a reagent-free, 3 min electrochemical conjugation (E-conjugation) using amine-quinone chemistry.

Leveraging GPT-4o for Automated Extraction and Categorization of CAD-RADS Features From Free-Text Coronary CT Angiography Reports: Diagnostic Study.

Departments of Radiology, The Third Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University, 600 Tianhe Road, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510630, China, 86 18922109279, 86 20852523108.

Background: Despite the Coronary Artery Reporting and Data System (CAD-RADS) providing a standardized approach, radiologists continue to favor free-text reports. This preference creates significant challenges for data extraction and analysis in longitudinal studies, potentially limiting large-scale research and quality assessment initiatives.

Objective: To evaluate the ability of the generative pre-trained transformer (GPT)-4o model to convert real-world coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) free-text reports into structured data and automatically identify CAD-RADS categories and P categories.

Lead-free electroceramics have attracted significant research interest as alternatives to lead-containing systems due to concerns related to lead's toxicity to human health and the environment. Solid solutions based on bismuth sodium titanate (BNT) and barium titanate (BT), particularly those with compositions near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB), such as 0.94 BiNaTiO-0.

While hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) hosts promising room-temperature quantum emitters for hybrid quantum photonic circuits, scalable deterministic integration and insufficient brightness alongside low photon collection and coupling efficiencies remain unresolved challenges. We present a femtosecond laser nanoengineering platform that enables the site-specific generation of hBN single-photon source (SPS) arrays. First-principles density functional theory (DFT) calculations and polarization-resolved spectroscopy confirm the atomic origin of emission as interfacial defects at hBN/SiO heterojunctions.

The optoelectronic properties of perovskite/two-dimensional (2D) material van der Waals heterojunctions provide greater potential for innovative neuromorphic devices. However, the traditional growth of heterojunctions still relies on strict lattice matching and high-temperature processes, which hinder high-quality interface construction and efficient carrier transport. Here, the 2D CsPbI/MoS heterojunction is realized via the van der Waals epitaxy process, overcoming lattice matching limitations.
