Developing a self-reporting bioadhesive patch that has strong adhesion to the wet tissues and meanwhile can avoid adhering to the adjacent tissues is a current research difficulty and challenge. In this paper, inspired by the wet adhesion of spider web, slippery surface of Nepenthes, and structural color phenomena of chameleons, a novel structural color medical patch with surface dual-properties of wet bioadhesion and slipperiness for internal tissue repair based on inverse opal scaffold is presented. The adhesive surface made by poly(acrylic acid)-polyethylene glycol-N-hydroxysuccinimide ester and gelatin hydrogel can attain tough adhesion to internal wet tissues by absorbing tissue interfacial water and the covalent cross-linking between the hydrogel and tissue. Besides, the slippery surface made by liquid paraffin infused inverse opal scaffold can avoid adhesion to the adjacent tissues. It is demonstrated that the designed patch can adhere tightly to the defect tissue and improve the tissue repair without adjacent adhesion when applied in a rat model with full-thickness perforation of the stomach wall. In addition, the responsive structural color can supply a color-sensing monitoring to evaluate the adhesive and repair process. These features impart the bioinspired patch with great scientific significance and broad clinical application prospects.

Soliton propagation of laser radiation in various nonlinear media is of great importance because of its numerous applications. Active periodic structures with parity-time symmetry provide the possibility for the solitons generation due to the balance of energy gain and loss. In the present paper, we derive an approximate analytical soliton solution to a model of two-color laser radiation propagation in an active periodic structure.

The farthest-color Voronoi diagram (FCVD) is defined on a set of points in the plane, where each point is labeled with one of colors. The colored points constitute a family of clusters (sets) of points in the plane whose farthest-site Voronoi diagram is the FCVD. The diagram finds applications in problems related to facility location, shape matching, data imprecision, and others.

Unlabelled: The popularity of an opinion in one's direct circles is not necessarily a good indicator of its popularity in one's entire community. Network structures make local information about global properties of the group potentially inaccurate, and the way a social network is wired constrains what kind of information distortion can actually occur. In this paper, we discuss which classes of networks allow for a large enough proportion of the population to get a wrong enough impression about the overall distribution of opinions.

Purpose: This study aims to compare the occlusal trueness and precision of teeth manufactured using two modern digital milling processes.
Materials And Methods: A total of 38 complete dentures (CDs) were fabricated and analyzed. CDs in Group 1 (monolithic) (n = 19) were produced using a monolithic bicolor resin disk, whereas in Group 2 (oversize) (n = 19) were fabricated using the oversize process, which involves two separate resin disks of different colors.

Common pulmonary vein atresia (CPVA) is a rare congenital heart disease characterized by the absence of functional connectivity between the pulmonary vein and any other heart cavity or systemic venous structure. A 13-h-old newborn (G3P3) was admitted to the department of pediatrics of a local maternity hospital and given tracheal intubation ventilator for assisted breathing due to systemic cyanosis, respiratory distress, and poor response 4 h after birth. He was transferred to Handan Maternal and Child Health Hospital 7 h after birth.
