Monomer design plays an important role in the development of polymers with desired thermal properties and chemical recyclability. Here we prepared a class of seven-membered ring carbonates containing -cyclohexyl fused rings. These monomers showed excellent activity for ring-opening polymerization (ROP) with turnover frequency (TOF) up to 6 × 10 h and catalyst loading down to 50 ppm, which yielded high-molecular-weight polycarbonates ( up to 673 kg/mol) with great thermostability ( > 300 °C). Ultimately, the resulting polycarbonates can completely depolymerize into their corresponding cyclic dimers that can repolymerize to synthesize the starting polymers in moderate yields, demonstrating a potential route to achieve chemical recycling. Postfunctionalization of the unsaturated polycarbonate was conducted through cross-linking reaction and "click" reaction under UV irradiation.

This study presents an eco-friendly approach for the green synthesis of manganese oxide nanoparticles (MnONPs) using () (einkorn wheat) seed extract as a reducing and stabilizing agent. The synthesized MnONPs were characterized by UV-Vis, XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX, BET, and zeta potential analyses, which confirmed their crystalline nature, spherical morphology, and mesoporous structure with a surface area of 41.50 m/g.

Over the past few years, alkali and alkaline earth metals have emerged as alternative catalysts to transition metal organometallics to catalyze the hydroboration of unsaturated compounds. A highly selective and cost-effective lithium-catalyzed method for the synthesis of an organoborane has been established based on the addition of a B-H bond to an unsaturated bond (polarized or unpolarized) using pinacolborane (HBPin). In the present work, the neosilyllithium-catalyzed hydroboration of nitriles, aldehydes, and esters has been investigated using high-level DLPNO-CCSD(T) calculations to unravel the mechanistic pathways and substrate-dependent reactivity.

Objective: Researchers have differentiated forms (overt, relational) and functions (proactive, reactive) of aggressive behavior; however, the assessment options for measuring these constructs in youth remain limited. This study examined the parent-report Peer Conflict Scale (PCS) for measuring forms and functions of youth aggressive behavior in English and Spanish, including short- and long-form versions.
Method: Participants were caregivers of 653 youths (ages 6-17; 57% male; 48% Hispanic) throughout North America.

Despite the widespread utility of transition metal-catalyzed cross-couplings in organic synthesis, the coupling of unactivated alkyl electrophiles remains challenging due to sluggish oxidative addition and competing side reactions. Here, we describe a general and practical copper-catalyzed radical deoxyalkynylation of α-unfunctionalized alcohols through a synergistic combination of Barton-McCombie deoxygenation and copper-catalyzed radical cross-coupling. Key to the success of this method lies in not only the development of rigid anionic multiple N,N,N-ligand to exert remarkable selectivity of highly reactive unactivated alkyl radicals, but also the selection of one suitable oxidant to suppress Glaser homocoupling and other side products.

Delivering therapeutics across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) remains a major challenge in ischemic stroke therapy. Ischemic stroke induces upregulation of various inflammatory membrane receptors on brain endothelial cells, offering potential entry points for receptor-mediated transcytosis. This study proposes a universal targeting strategy by employing inflammatory pathway antagonists as targeting ligands, which broadens the spectrum of available ligands beyond traditional receptor-binding molecules.
