Purpose: The development of on-board cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) has led to improved target localization and evaluation of patient anatomical change throughout the course of radiation therapy. HyperSight, a newly developed on-board CBCT platform by Varian, has been shown to improve image quality and HU fidelity relative to conventional CBCT. The purpose of this study is to benchmark the dose calculation accuracy of Varian's HyperSight cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) on the Halcyon platform relative to fan-beam CT-based dose calculations and to perform end-to-end testing of HyperSight CBCT-only based treatment planning.

Purpose: To analyze macular microvascular networks and investigate correlations between visual acuity and quantitative parameters in patients with Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).

Methods: An observational, cross-sectional study was conducted, including 25 eyes from 25 genetically confirmed chronic LHON patients and 25 eyes from 25 age-matched healthy controls. Images were obtained using a spectral domain OCTA system.

Objective: To explore the predictive value of peak systolic velocity (PSV) ratio, PSV1 and PSV2 of ophthalmic artery Doppler in pregnant women for small for gestational age (SGA) infants and to construct a nomogram prediction model.

Methods: A total of 201 pregnant women who visited our hospital from March 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects, and their clinical data and ophthalmic artery Doppler parameters were collected. The data were randomly divided into a training set ( = 295) and a verification set ( = 126) in a 7:3 ratio.

Purpose: In 2018, the Department of Bioengineering and the School of Nursing at University of Pittsburgh implemented an interdisciplinary partnership that integrated senior nursing students into the bioengineering capstone Senior Design course as part of a National Institutes of Health education grant. This two-semester course requires senior Bioengineering students to synthesize and extend principles from prior coursework toward the design a medical product meeting an unmet clinical need. Senior Design teams interact with clinicians, patients, and caregivers as part of the overall design process to understand the unique challenges of medical product design, including the requirements for regulatory approval.
