The aim of this study was to adapt the Negative Effects Questionnaire (NEQ) into the Czech context and to assess its psychometric properties as well as the extent to which it covers important areas of the negative aspects of psychotherapy. A total of 226 respondents answered an online survey. Confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses were conducted to assess the NEQ factor structure. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the open-ended NEQ item. In terms of confirmatory factor analysis, the six-factor model proposed by the authors of the NEQ did not demonstrate an adequate fit. In a subsequent exploratory factor analysis, a more parsimonious, five-factor solution was proposed instead. Furthermore, a thematic analysis revealed some areas underrepresented in the NEQ, particularly clients' relationships with their relatives. The NEQ is a reliable instrument with a high added value for research and practice. Several directions for future development are suggested.

Marine biofouling poses significant economic and environmental challenges, highlighting the need for effective antifouling coatings. We report amphiphilic poly(SBMA--EGDEA) copolymer coatings that resist both marine diatom adhesion and sediment adsorption. The coatings were synthesized via surface-initiated ATRP and RAFT polymerization using hydrophilic sulfobetaine methacrylate (SBMA) and hydrophobic ethylene glycol dicyclopentenyl ether acrylate (EGDEA).

Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is associated with neuro-immune - metabolic - oxidative (NIMETOX) pathways.
Aims: To examine the connections among NIMETOX pathways in outpatient MDD (OMDD) with and without metabolic syndrome (MetS); and to determine the prevalence of NIMETOX aberrations in a cohort of OMDD patients.
Methods: We included 67 healthy controls and 66 OMDD patients and we assessed various NIMETOX pathways.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the long-term effects of different suture and graft techniques on postoperative projection and rotation.
Methods: A total of 392 patients who met the inclusion criteria were screened and divided into 9 groups based on the technique performed. Outcome scores, tip projection ratios, and tip rotation angles were measured for the preoperative, early postoperative, and late postoperative periods.

Soy protein remains a key component of plant-based food development, but its application is challenged by inherent allergenicity. Previous work identified that native amyloid-like protein aggregates in soy 7S globulin that resist gastrointestinal digestion and exhibit pronounced antigenicity. Herein, we demonstrate that protein deamidation significantly enhances proteolysis under an infant gastrointestinal digestion model, leading to ∼80 and 50% reductions in IgG- and IgE-binding capacities, respectively.

The present study carried out the first systematic review with meta-analysis on the effects of metals and temperature rise individually and their associations with terrestrial invertebrates. Initially, a systematic review of peer-reviewed articles was performed. Meta-analysis demonstrated that metals negatively affected the fitness of annelids, arthropods, and nematodes and positively affected physiological regulation in annelids.
