Introduction: Ureteral ectopia is a rarely observed anomaly. It may be totally asymptomatic. An association with a duplex system is exceptional. Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are challenging. Carcinologic surgery must consider the anatomic variant, mainly related to the ectopic site of the ureteral orifice.
Observation: We report a case of a ureteral urothelial carcinoma in a North African 52-year-old male patient, in a right duplex system. Radiological explorations concluded a non-functional upper right kidney. A suspect mass was observed in the lumbar part of the ureter of the right upper system. The meatus of the tumorous ureter ended in the right lobe of the prostate. A right hemi-nephro-ureterectomy was performed. A histological examination concluded a pT2G2 urothelial carcinoma.
Conclusion: Even if malignancy is rarely observed in ureteral ectopia, it should be evoked mainly in cases of hematuria with risk factors for urothelial tumors.

Introduction/aims: We hereby report a novel vesicoscopic supra trigonal ureteric reimplantation detrusorraphy (STURDY) technique for unilateral duplex systems with vesicoureteric reflux (VUR).
Methods: A 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl with recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) and left duplex VUR/ureterocele underwent vesicoscopic STURDY.
Technique: After establishing pneumovesicum, a vertical incision was made cranially along the ureter for 2-3 cm incising both the mucosa and detrusor, preserving the vas deferens.

DNA data storage is a promising alternative to conventional storage due to high density, low energy consumption, durability, and ease of replication. While information can be encoded into DNA via synthesis, high costs and the lack of rewriting capability limit its applications beyond archival storage. Emerging "hard drive" strategies seek to encode data onto universal DNA templates without de novo synthesis, using methods such as DNA nanostructures and base modifications.

Background: Iron (Fe) is an essential micronutrient for plant growth, but the conventional DTPA soil analysis method for detecting available iron has notable limitations, requiring advanced instruments and lengthy preparation time. Developing a more affordable, user-friendly, and efficient method for iron detection in soil could greatly improve crop nutrition management. Here, a facile nanoscopic method was developed to quantify available Fe ions in the soil by forming a luminescence quenching complex in chelation with bathophenanthroline disulphonic acid disodium salt (Fe/BPDS complex).

The duplex-forming behavior of an inchworm-type PNA-PEG conjugate (i-PPc), engineered for the selective recognition of point mutations in DNA, was assessed through thermodynamic analysis employing UV melting curves and circular dichroism spectroscopy. The i-PPc demonstrated the ability to form stable duplexes exclusively with fully complementary DNA sequences, while no hybridization with single-base mismatched sequences. This binary on/off hybridization behavior was maintained even under physiologically relevant conditions (37 °C), thereby illustrating the exceptional point mutation discrimination capability of i-PPc.

Introduction: The Multiple primary malignant tumors (MPMT) refers to the occurrence of two primary malignant tumors in the same organ or organs in the same patient at the same time. However, MPMT is rare in the urinary system. Congenital urinary tract anomalies (e.
