Error bounds play an important role in the research of mathematical programming. Using some techniques of nonsmooth analysis, we establish some results on the existence of higher-order error bounds for difference functions with set constraints.

A novel practical predefined-time sliding mode control strategy is proposed for the flight formation of a small tandem-rotor wheeled UAV (TRW-UAV) with unknown upper bound external disturbances and uncertainties in this paper. Firstly, a new predefined-time sliding mode surface is proposed to guide all errors of the position and velocity loops to converge to the origin in a predefined-time. Furthermore, a dynamic surface control approach is utilized to circumvent the higher-order differentiation when controlling the actuator loop.

The output-side behaviors of typical digital computing systems, such as simulated neural networks, are generally unaffected by the act of observation; however, this is not the case for the burgeoning field of physical reservoir computers (PRCs). Observer dynamics can limit or modify the natural state information of a PRC in many ways, and among the most common is the conversion from analog to digital data needed for calculations. Here, to aid in the development of novel PRCs, we investigate the effects of bounded, quantized observations on systems' natural computational abilities.

A key output of the NIH-Common Fund 4D Nucleome (4DN) project is the open publication of datasets related to the structure of the human cell nucleus and the genome. Recent years have seen a rapid expansion of multiplexed Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) or FISH-omics methods, which quantify the spatial organization of chromatin in single cells, sometimes together with RNA and protein measurements, and provide an expanded understanding of how 3D higher-order chromosome structure relates to transcriptional activity and cell development in both health and disease. Despite this progress, results from Chromatin Tracing FISH-omics experiments are difficult to share, reuse, and subject to third-party downstream analysis due to the lack of standard specifications for data exchange.

Methods: This study involved 2,298 eyes (boys = 1194 eyes; girls=1104 eyes) of 1149 school children (597 boys; 552 girls) in two elementary/junior high schools in Kyoto Japan, examined from 2013 through 2022.

Dynamic deuterium (H)-MRSI enables mapping of metabolic fluxes in vivo, but its sensitivity is hampered by the low H gyromagnetic ratio and H-labelled metabolite concentrations. Low-rank denoising can enhance MRSI sensitivity by separating signal from noise. Several methods have been proposed, but the optimal approach for dynamic H-MRSI remains unclear.
