This paper presents a flexible organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) amplifier for bio-signal monitoring and presents the chip component assembly process. Using a conductive adhesive and a chip mounter, the chip components are mounted on a flexible film substrate, which has OTFT circuits. This study first investigates the assembly technique reliability for chip components on the flexible substrate. This study also specifically examines heart pulse wave monitoring conducted using the proposed flexible amplifier circuit and a flexible piezoelectric film. We connected the amplifier to a bluetooth device for a wearable device demonstration.

Aqueous zinc-ion microbatteries exhibit promising prospects for wearable devices due to their high safety and cost-effectiveness but face challenges such as low energy density and short cycle life. To address these challenges, a dual-plating flexible Zn-Br microbattery was developed using freestanding MXene films as a zinc metal free anode. The MXene anode retains no redundant Zn, as Zn from the electrolyte undergoes deposition/stripping reactions on its substrate, thereby eliminating the necessity for excess zinc.

Flexible metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as a new generation of porous materials and are considered for various applications such as sensing, water or gas capture, and water purification. MIL-88 A (Fe) is one of the earliest and most researched flexible MOFs, but to date, there is a lack in the structural aspects that govern its dynamic behaviour. Here, we report the first crystal structure of DMF-solvated MIL-88 A and investigate the impact of real structure effects on the dynamic behaviour of MIL-88 A (Fe), particularly upon water adsorption.

The design of a rare combination of interpenetrated and catenated 3D+2D→3D MOF {[Cd(dim)(dht)(HO)](Sol)} (1), with a unique network and extreme pH stability, has been developed for exceptional ionic conduction across a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions. The bare pore derivative of 1 (1') features remarkable structural flexibility and large pores accessible to encapsulate molecules such as NH, HCl, and KOH, enabling it to function as an efficient conductor for both proton and hydroxide ions. 1' demonstrates substantial thermal-influenced proton conductivity of 4.

Three-dimensional printing (3DP) technology enables the flexible fabrication of integrated monolithic microextraction chips for high-throughput sample pretreatment. Meanwhile, the extraction performance of 3DP-based channels is largely limited by printer resolution and the commercially available printing materials. In this work, a 3DP array monolithic microextraction chip (AMC) was fabricated by integrating 26-array helical monolithic microextraction channels for sample pretreatment and 52-array gas valves for fluid control.

Isatin (1-indole-2,3-dione) is a privileged nitrogen-containing heterocyclic framework that has received considerable attention in anticancer drug discovery owing to its general biological behavior and structural diversity. This review focuses on isatin-heterocyclic hybrids as a valuable model in the development of new anti-cancer drugs that may reduce side effects and help overcome drug resistance, discussing their synthetic approaches and mechanism of action as apoptosis induction through kinase inhibition. With various chemical modifications, isatin had an excellent ability to build powerful isatin hybrids and conjugates targeting multiple oncogenic pathways.
