An efficient, one-pot synthetic method for producing functionalized indolizine derivatives was developed via a Rh-catalyzed [2 + 1]-cyclopropanation, Pd-catalyzed ring expansion, and subsequent oxidation using manganese dioxide from pyridotriazoles and 1,3-dienes.

Parkin is a mitochondria-associated E3 ubiquitin (Ub) ligase that mediates mitophagy and organelle quality control. More recently, Parkin has been implicated in stimulating antitumor immunity and reprogramming the tumor immune microenvironment. Here, we showed that Parkin ubiquitinates the alarmin molecule, high mobility group box-1 (HMGB1) on Lys146 (K146) using predominantly K48 linkages.

[2,1]-Azaboranaphthalenes represent unique boron-nitrogen (BN) isosteres of naphthalenes, attracting interest for the development of molecules with enhanced therapeutic potency. The existing synthetic strategies are generally two-component reactions with harsh conditions. Here we report an organocatalysed three-component modular synthesis of ring-fused BN isosteres and BN-2,1-azaboranaphthalenes following ring expansion of unstrained cyclic ketones (n = 4-8) via Wolff-type rearrangement.

Sequence-controlled polyester-based alternating copolymers have attracted significant interest due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, closed-loop recyclability, and hydrolytic degradability, offering broad potential in biomedical and sustainable materials. Among the available strategies, regioselective ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of asymmetric cyclic di(thio)esters and cyclic(ester-amide)s has emerged as a promising approach for constructing alternating copolymers with precise sequence- and stereo-control, structural diversity, and tunable properties. This review classifies asymmetric cyclic monomers into two categories: (1) monomers with two aliphatic ester bonds, where regioselectivity is mainly dictated by steric differences and typically requires tailored metal catalysts; and (2) monomers with chemically distinct reactive sites (e.

Purpose: To predict metastasis-free survival (MFS) for patients with prostate adenocarcinoma (PCa) treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and external radiotherapy using clinical factors and radiomics extracted from primary tumor and node volumes in pre-treatment PSMA PET/CT scans.
Materials/methods: Our cohort includes 134 PCa patients (nodal involvement in 28 patients). Gross tumor volumes of primary tumor (GTVp) and nodes (GTVn) on CT and PET scans were segmented.

Spiroapplanatumine G () is a spiro-meroterpenoid characterized by an unusual 6/5/7 tricyclic spirobenzofuran-3-one core. The first enantioselective total synthesis of spiroapplanatumine G () is reported, featuring a key enantioselective Diels-Alder reaction between an aurone ester and a silyloxydiene to assemble the spirobenzofuranone core. This strategic Diels-Alder transformation advantageously establishes the two contiguous stereogenic centers in a single step.
