Endotoxins are components of the outer membrane of bacteria that can become airborne during aerosol-generating work activities and cause adverse effects on workers' health. Filtration is the sampling method recommended by the EN 14031 standard for endotoxin measurements in workplace atmospheres. However, there are still differences in terms of practice regarding certain parameters of the measurement method.

Chemical imaging holds great promise for chemical, materials, and biological applications. However, its contrast often relies on subtle spectral differences arising from molecular-level changes. Here, we introduce label-free chemical imaging based on bond-specific coherent interference, which is highly sensitive to nanoscopic structural variations in collagen fibers.

In this study, aloe emodin and β-d-glucose pentaacetate were added into potato starch/polyvinyl alcohol for the construction of colorimetric/fluorescent dual-pass intelligent response labels. Inspired by the lotus leaf structure, retained the advantages of the label itself and solved the hydrophilic problem of the label, and further developed a multi-functional dual-channel smart label with hydrophobicity and self-adhesion. The water contact angle of the prepared T-AEB label was 120.
