Eight compounds were isolated from the seeds of Holarrhena antidysenterica Wall.ex A.DC. On the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectroscopic data, holarrhenanan (1) was identified as a new compound, compounds 2-3 were isolated from H. antidysenterica for the first time, and five known compounds were also obtained. Inhibitory effects of some compounds and extracts to the intestinal peristalsis were evaluated. Results showed that the extracts and compounds 4, 6 exhibited remarkable inhibitory effects with tension inhibition rate of 32.77, 32.77% and amplitude inhibition rate of 59.51, 55.98%, respectively on the vitro rabbit intestinal peristalsis.

Objectives: This study focused on synthesizing and characterizing novel thiosemicarbazide derivatives containing a 1,2,4-triazole moiety and evaluating their antimicrobial activity against several bacterial strains. The research aimed to identify key structural features that enhance antimicrobial efficacy through structure-activity relationship analysis and identify the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the most potent compounds to assess their potential for further development as antimicrobial agents.
Materials And Methods: Nine novel thiosemicarbazide derivatives containing a 1,2,4-triazole moiety were synthesized by reacting 1,2,4-triazole derivatives with thiosemicarbazide precursors, and the products were characterized using infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR), carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance (C-NMR) spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.

The chemical profile of brown algae Ecklonia cava was comprehensively analyzed using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a Q-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometer and GNPS molecular networking, identifying 33 components, including 27 oligomeric phloroglucinols. Among these, 10 compounds with analogous structural segments were evaluated for β-glucuronidase inhibitory activity, revealing potent inhibition by eckol, phlorofucofuroeckol A (PFF-A), dieckol, 2-phloroeckol, dioxinodehydroeckol (DHE), 8,8'-bieckol, and 6,8'-bieckol, with IC values ranging from 0.3 to 30.

Seven previously undescribed glycosides, including four iridoid glycosides (1, 2, 4, and 5), three phenolic glucosides (18, 21, and 22), together with nineteen known compounds, were isolated from the ethanol extract of Gentiana rhodantha Franch. Their structures were determined by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS, X-ray diffraction, NMR calculation, and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculation. Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Fujian Tablet (FJT), a traditional Chinese herbal compound formulation developed under the theoretical framework of "nourishing the liver and kidney, replenishing essence and marrow" , has been clinically applied for over two decades to treat post-stroke neurological deficits. Preliminary studies demonstrated its efficacy in improving motor function and promoting cervical spinal cord neuroaxonal growth in a middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) rat model. Building upon these findings, this study integrates metabolomic evidence of Foxo3a-GPX4 axis activation to systematically elucidate Fujian Tablet's neurorestorative mechanisms through three interconnected pathways: regulation of ferroptosis, promotion of oligodendrocyte proliferation, and remyelination.
