The K2 Summit camera was initially the only commercially available direct electron detection camera that was optimized for high-speed counting of primary electrons and was also the only one that implemented centroiding so that the resolution of the camera can be extended beyond the Nyquist limit set by the physical pixel size. In this study, we used well-characterized two-dimensional crystals of the membrane protein aquaporin-0 to characterize the performance of the camera below and beyond the physical Nyquist limit and to measure the influence of electron dose rate on image amplitudes and phases.

In this study, we describe the synthesis and characterization of the mononuclear complexes [ )], [ ], and [ ], where = (2-((2-hydroxybenzylidene)-amino)-phenol). The structural analysis of these complexes was carried out utilizing mass spectrometry, H NMR, C NMR, P NMR, UV-visible, and FT-IR. All three complexes were investigated as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel in 1 M HCl.

Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) are integral to infant health. Yet, their complex biosynthesis pathways in the mammary gland during lactation remain under-characterized. To address this knowledge gap, we performed integrated analyses of single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) datasets combined with select HMO concentration measures.

High-tech mechanical ventilators are engineered to deliver precise and consistent airflow, which is critical for effective respiratory therapy. This study evaluates flow control performance in a custom-built electro-pneumatic ventilator prototype, comparing Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control with Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) through real-time experiments on a test-lung platform to assess accuracy and adaptability under dynamic conditions. A laboratory based experimental study was conducted under laboratory conditions, using a test lung simulator and real-time flow data acquisition.

Background: Females have greater brain volume and cerebral blood flow than males when controlling for intracranial volume and age. Brain volume decreases after menopause, suggesting a role of sex hormones. We studied the association of sex hormones with brain volume, white matter hyperintensity volumes and cerebral blood flow in people with Type 2 Diabetes and with overweight and obesity conditions that accelerate brain atrophy.

This study introduces PicoSleepNet, an ultra-lightweight sleep stage classification method that utilizes a spiking neural network (SNN) with single-channel electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. Traditional methods use multi-bit Nyquist sampling and dense computing, which result in high complexity and power consumption, hindering their deployment on wearable devices. To address these limitations, we propose an innovative pipeline combining single-bit sub-Nyquist level-crossing sampling (LCS) and sparse computing based on SNN.
