A surface coil for MRI was designed and built based on the principles of the petal resonator proposed by Mansfield [J Phys D Appl Phys 21 (1988) 1643]. This resonator coil design was named the petal resonator surface (PERES) coil and is composed of an eight-petal coil array and a central circular coil. A minimum separation of three times the petal coil radius is necessary to significantly decrease the mutual inductance. An analytical function for the PERES Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is obtained based on the quasistatic method. Theoretical plots of SNR enhancement yielded 26% and 35% more SNR over the circular coil and phased-array coils. Imaging experiments were first performed using a spectroscopy phantom on a 1.5-T commercial imager. Subsequently, brain images of healthy volunteers were obtained. Clinical MR imager compatibility allows this resonator coil to be used with conventional pulse sequences and imaging protocols. This coil design offers a new alternative to existing surface coils because it significantly increases the SNR.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to describe the imaging features on dynamic CT and MRI of a series of pathologically confirmed low-grade vascular neoplasia of the liver (LGVNL).
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective multicenter study, patients diagnosed with pathologically proven LGVNL between January 2014 and August 2024 and with cross-sectional imaging (CT or MRI) were included. Based on prior studies, we divided the patients into two groups: a group with typical LGVNL features and a group with atypical tumors.

Purpose: This prospective observational study employed resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) to investigate network-level disturbances associated with neurocognitive function (NCF) changes in patients with gliomas following partial-brain radiation therapy (RT).
Methods And Materials: Adult postoperative patients with either isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)-wild-type or IDH-mutant gliomas underwent computerized NCF testing and rs-fMRI at baseline and 6 months post-RT. rs-fMRI data were assessed using seed-based functional connectivity (FC).

Phosphorus-31 magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (P-MRSI) provides valuable non-invasivein vivoinformation on tissue metabolism but is burdened by poor sensitivity and prolonged scan duration. Ultra-short echo time (UTE) acquisitions minimize signal loss when probing signals with relatively short spin-spin relaxation time (T), while also preventing first-order dephasing. Here, a three-dimensional (3D) UTE sequence with a rosette k-space trajectory (PETALUTE) is applied to P-MRSI at 3T.

Photocatalytic degradation is a promising strategy for environmental remediation. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) is the most extensively reported metal-free material. Hierarchical flower-shaped BiWO particles were obtained using a simple hydrothermal method, with petals of flower-like BiWO with oxygen vacancies (BiWO OVs) with controlled content successfully decorated on g-CN nanosheets.
