Introduction: Iodine impregnated adhesive drapes have been shown to reduce incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) in cardiothoracic surgery. A Cochrane review of its use in multiple specialties found significantly more SSIs in the adhesive group versus control. No studies have evaluated their use in vascular surgery and infrainguinal SSIs which this study sought to evaluate.

Purpose: This study evaluates the long-term outcomes of single-fraction, high-gradient partial breast irradiation (BreaStBRT) as a post-operative treatment in patients with early-stage, hormone-positive breast cancer. It aims to assess acute and late treatment-related toxicity, cosmesis, patient-reported quality of life (QoL), and oncologic outcomes.

Materials And Methods: Single-institution, single-arm, phase II prospective trial included post-menopausal women ≥50 years old with early-stage, hormone-positive breast cancer treated with breast-conserving therapy (BCT) followed by BreaStBRT.

Van der Woude syndrome (VWS) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by lower lip pits and orofacial clefts (OFCs). With a prevalence of ∼1 in 35,000 live births, it is the most common form of syndromic clefting. Most VWS is attributed to variants in IRF6 (∼70%) or GRHL3 (∼5%), leaving up to 25% of individuals without a molecular diagnosis.
