The escalating threat of widespread exposure to environmental pollutants on human health has drawn increasing attention, particularly regarding mycotoxin contaminants with potent carcinogenic properties. As a prototypical environmental toxin, the molecular mechanisms underlying aflatoxin B1-induced gastric carcinogenesis remain poorly defined. This study systematically elucidates the molecular network through which aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) synergistically drives the malignant progression of gastric cancer by specifically targeting five core regulatory genes, exemplified by its upregulation of cyclin genes CCNE1 and CCNE2.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study in which patients who were diagnosed with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy between 2018 and 2023. The parturients who received LEA were divided into three groups based on the tertiles of LEA duration: the short-duration group (< 175 minutes), the medium-duration group (175-324 minutes), and the long-duration group (≥ 325 minutes), while parturients who did not receive LEA forming the control group.
Background: Angiotensin-neprilysin inhibition (ARNI) reduces mortality and morbidity in chronic heart failure, but its efficacy in acute myocardial infarction (MI) remains uncertain. This study compares ARNI versus angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) in acute MI patients.
Methods And Results: This cohort study used a target trial emulation approach to include acute MI patients between 2019 and 2022 from the Tianjin Health and Medical Data Platform, China.
Objectives: Penehyclidine hydrochloride, a common anticholinergic drug, shows protective effects on ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in various organs. However, the effects of penehyclidine hydrochloride on lung IRI induced by lung transplantation (LTx) have not been known, especially during the cold ischemia phase. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride on lung IRI in a rat model of LTx.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of β-blockers on short-term and long-term mortality in intensive care unit (ICU) patients with T2MI.
Background: Relative hyperglycemia, as defined by the stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR), is linked to death and ischemic events in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). As a modifiable factor, the association between SHR and bleeding risk after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) across different glycemic status remains unexplored.
Methods And Results: In this study, ACS patients treated with PCI were extracted from the Improving Care for Cardiovascular Disease in China-Acute Coronary Syndrome (CCC-ACS) registry and the Tianjin Health and Medical Data Platform (THMDP).
Background: Sterile inflammation is a key factor in epidural-related maternal fever (ERMF). While antepartum changes in white blood cell counts have been associated with ERMF, their impact on the occurrence of ERMF remains poorly understood.
Objective: To examine the relationship between lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) and ERMF and to assess the potential impact of LMR on ERMF onset in parturients.
This study aims to investigate metabolic reprogramming heterogeneity in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells and identify novel therapeutic targets for HCC treatment. Single-cell RNA sequencing data from public databases were used to analyze the TME of HCC and reveal the characteristics of different cell subsets, including mononuclear phagocytes, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, NK/T cells, B cells, and unknown cells. The analysis revealed that these cell subsets play their own unique roles in tumor progression and immune escape.

The hemoglobin glycation index (HGI), defined as the difference between predicted glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and measured HbA1c, may provide additional prognostic insights beyond traditional glycemic metrics.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 8,098 adult patients with HF from the MIMIC-IV database (2008-2022).
Background: To identify pharmacological randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with "positive" outcomes driven by nonfatal myocardial infarction (MI) reductions and assess related guideline recommendations.
Methods: RCTs published between 2000 and 2024 focusing on mortality and nonfatal MI were identified through searches in PubMed and Web of Science. Citation tracking was used to find trials referenced in clinical guidelines.
With the increasing prevalence of environmental pollutants, there is growing concern about the potential effects of these substances in major diseases such as liver cancer. Previous studies have suggested that various chemicals, such as benzo[a]pyrene(BaP), produced by burning carbon containing fuels, may negatively affect liver health, but the exact mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to explore the potential molecular mechanisms of BaP in the progression of liver cancer.

Methods And Results: We identified multimorbidity patterns in 9570 young women with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction (median age, 50 years [range, 47.
Background: Nutritional status is a key factor influencing outcomes in critically ill patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This study investigated the association between the Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) and mortality among ICU-admitted AMI patients, as well as GNRI's potential to improve the predictive accuracy of current scoring systems.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, data from 5,506 ICU-admitted AMI patients were sourced from three open-access critical care databases.
Lepus yarkandensis is a desert hare of the Tarim Basin in western China, and it has strong adaptability to drought environments. Cytochrome P450s (CYP450s) are important metabolic enzymes, and their metabolites (19-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (19-HETE), 20-HETE, and epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs)) are important for regulating kidney water absorption and sodium excretion. This study aimed to investigate the expression of CYP450 enzymes in the kidneys of L.

The flat-top beams have significant potential for applications in micromachining and biomedicine, due to their unique intensity distribution. Therefore, spatiotemporal flat-top beams, which are all flat-top in both spatial and time domains, may significantly advance its development. Here, we demonstrate the generation of a spatiotemporal flat-top beam using an all-fiber mode-locked laser.

Methods: In this multicentre longitudinal cohort study, non-acute myocardial infarction (non-AMI) inpatients with at least two cTn concentrations hospitalised between 2013 and 2022 in the Tianjin Health and Medical Data Platform were included. Multivariable Cox proportional hazards and landmark regression models were used to estimate the risk of in-hospital, 30-day and 1-year mortality in different cTn groups (normal, stable minor elevation (1-2×ULN with variation ≤20%), acute minor elevation (1-2×ULN with variation >20%) and apparent elevation (>2×ULN)).
BACKGROUND Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) represents not only an anatomical variant but also a clinical constellation of coronary artery disease associated with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). There is no consensus on the antithrombotic treatment for patients with CEA. CASE REPORT A 34-year-old man with severe diffuse dilatation of the left main artery and left circumflex (LCX) proximal segment confirmed by coronary angiography (CAG) developed 2 acute myocardial infarctions (AMIs), due to occlusion of a dilated LCX segment with thrombus shadows, within a 9-year interval.

Here, we propose an efficient scheme to generate a picosecond pulsed flat-top beam in a mode-locking all-fiber laser. After utilizing an orthogonal polarization method for complete incoherence and a high-precision all-fiber optical delay line (ODL) for rigorous time synchronization, the pulsed fundamental mode (LP) and the pulsed vortex beam (VB) are superimposed to generate a pulsed flat-top beam.
