Although a protective shell based on a metal-organic framework (MOF) can effectively improve the remediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by microorganisms, the functional characteristics of the shell are often limited by the surface charge, chemical properties and intrinsic strain characteristics. This study explored the potential of mixed organic acids (MA) as an eco-friendly modifier for zeolite imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8), facilitating the formation of a biomimetic mineralized shell around Bacillus subtilis ZL09-26. The addition of MA into the ZIF-8 protective shell was found to stimulate growth and bolster cell viability.

Herein, we report novel iron-derepressed and robust production of the fungal siderophore fusarinine C (FsC) in , achieved by metabolic reprogramming coupling Raman-based single-cell sorting (RACS). First, we deciphered the mechanisms of iron repression on siderophore biosynthesis in this fungus.

As biological control agents, bacteriophages can both inhibit the pathogenic bacteria and remove the bacterial biofilms from the seafood. is the pathogen of cholera and the severe infection could lead watery diarrhea and even death. The double-layer agar plate method was used to isolate and screen the bacteriophages from the samples of aquaculture water and sewage.

Fermented traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has a long history of medicinal use, such as Sojae Semen Praeparatum, Arisaema Cum Bile, Pinelliae Rhizoma Fermentata, red yeast rice, and Jianqu. Fermentation technology was recorded in the earliest TCM work, Shen Nong's Classic of the Materia Medica. Microorganisms are essential components of the fermentation process.

The combination of all-inorganic perovskites (PVSKs) and polymers allows for free-standing flexible optoelectronic devices. However, solubility difference of the PVSK precursors and concerns over the compatibility between polymer carriers and PVSKs imply a great challenge to incorporate different kinds of PVSKs into polymer matrices by the same manufacturing process. In this work, PVSK precursors are introduced into poly(2-hydroxyethyl acrylate) (PHEA) hydrogels in sequence, in which the PVSK-gel composites are achieved with full-color emissions by simply varying the precursor species.

The resulting mixture underwent filtration using centrifugation, ultrafiltration tubes, and Sephadex G-25 gels. Peptides exhibiting ACE-inhibitory properties and DPPH free-radical-scavenging abilities were isolated and subsequently purified via LC/MS-MS, leading to the identification of over 100 peptide components.

However, the deficit of long-term stability is a major obstacle to the implementation of PSCs in commercialization. The defects in perovskite films are considered as one of the primary causes.

Ofloxacin (OFL) is widely used in animal husbandry and aquaculture due to its low price and broad spectrum of bacterial inhibition, etc. However, it is difficult to degrade and is retained in animal-derived food products, which are hazardous to human health. In this study, a simple and efficient method was developed for the detection of OFL residues in meat products.

ENR aptamers were screened in this study using the magnetic bead-SELEX method, and a graphene oxide fluorescent sensor was developed to detect the ENR residues in aquatic products. Firstly, ENR was conjugated to amino magnetic beads by amidation reaction, and then the aptamer sequences showing high affinity to ENR were screened step by step by using the SELEX screening method.

In this study, delta-12 desaturase was overexpressed in using the single-copy integrative vector pINA1312 and multicopy integrative vector pINA1292, resulting in the engineered yeast strains 1312-12 and 1292-12, respectively. The content of intracellular linoleic acid (LA) in the 1292-12 strain was much higher than in the 1312-12 strain and the control group. One interesting finding was that the 1292-12 strain showed obvious changes in surface morphology.

Claudin-5 (CLDN5) is an essential component of tight junctions (TJs) and is critical for the integrity of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), ensuring homeostasis and protection from damage to the central nervous system (CNS). Currently, many researchers have summarized the role and mechanisms of CLDN5 in CNS diseases. However, it is noteworthy that CLDN5 also plays a significant role in tumor growth and metastasis.

However, the trap states induced by the ligand-exchange process limit the photovoltaic performances. Here, a simple post treatment using methylamine thiocyanate is developed to reconstruct the FAPbI -QD film surface, in which a MAPbI capping layer with a thickness of 6.

However, the performance of ETL-free PSCs is still at a disadvantage compared to cells with a conventional n-i-p structure due to the severe recombination of charge carriers at the perovskite/anode interface. Here, we report a strategy to fabricate stable ETL-free FAPbI PSCs by in situ formation of a low dimensional perovskite layer between the FTO and the perovskite.
