Recently identified, disulfidptosis represents a novel form of cell death triggered by disulfide stress. The impact of disulfidptosis-related gene (DRG) patterns on the clinical prognosis of sarcoma, however, remains unexplored. In this study, two prognostic genes related to DRGs, CCDC69 and HMGB3, were found, and a prognosis prediction models of sarcoma subtypes was developed.

Background: The strategy for eliminating viral hepatitis is at a critical juncture, necessitating an updated assessment of global incidence trends.
Methods: Data on the incidence of four types of acute viral hepatitis (AVH), namely, acute hepatitis A (AHA), acute hepatitis B (AHB), acute hepatitis C (AHC), and acute hepatitis E (AHE), were sourced from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study 2021. The annual percentage change is utilized to elucidate temporal trends, whereas health inequalities and frontier analysis serve to evaluate global health equity and quantify disparities in burden among countries.

At present, indirect fluorescent antibody testing (IFA) for the traditional diagnosis of scrub typhus (ST) requires high biosafety facilities to prepare whole bacterial antigens that can cross-react with similar diseases. IFA is also not suitable for large-scale epidemiological investigation. Therefore, a simple, fast, and safe serological diagnostic method with high sensitivity and specificity is needed.

Short-chain fatty acids in gut microbes are an important source of lipids. The causal effect of lipid metabolism/fatty acid metabolism pathways on PE exposure is unknown.

However, the catalytic potential and structural basis of plant malonyltransferase are far from being fully elucidated. This work identified a new malonyltransferase CtMaT1 from It displayed unprecedented mono- and/or di-malonylation activity toward diverse glucosides with different aglycons.

Methods: The whole microarray datasets GSE83456 (training set) and GSE19444 (validation set) of TB patients were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Differential expression was conducted on genes between TB and normal samples (unconfirmed TB) in GSE83456 to yield TB-related differentially expressed genes (DEGs).

2-(2-Phenylethyl)chromones (PECs) are the main bioactive components of agarwood which showed diverse pharmaceutical activities. Glycosylation is a useful structural modification method to improve compounds' druggability. However, PEC glycosides were rarely reported in nature which largely limited their further medicinal investigations and applications.

Methods: Stable DAPK1 knockout HCC cell lines were established, then the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of HCC were screened using the NetworkAnalyst database and enriched using the Metascape software.
Multiple-glycosylated glycosides are a major source of bioactive leads. However, most of the currently reported glycosyltransferases (GTases) mainly catalyze glycosylation of aglycones without sugar group substitution. GTases accepting diverse glycosides as substrates are rarely reported.

The cause of lung adenocarcinomas is still not clear. Protein post-translational modification is one of the causes of the development of cancer cells.

Long-term exposure to high altitude affects spatial working memory. Previous studies have focused on the analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) components in time domain rather than in frequency domain. To explore the influence of long-term high altitude exposure on time dynamic characteristics and neural oscillation process of the spatial working memory, n-back task combined with the technology of event related potential recording was performed on 20 young migrants who grew at low altitude before the age of 18 and moved to high altitude more than three years ago, and 21 young people who had never been to the high altitude.
