Methods: Pregnant mothers and their offspring were enrolled in the Danish National Birth Cohort, a nationwide prospective cohort study, in 1996-2002. In gestational week 30, telephone interviews assessed overall maternal organic food consumption during pregnancy.
Background And Aims: Dysregulation of the immune system and chronic inflammation, the primary drivers of post-acute sequalae of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) (PASC), are at the heart of immune-mediated inflammatory disease (IMID) pathology. As PASC remains underexplored in IMID patients, we explored the risk of PASC in patients with IMIDs including spondylarthritis (SpA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), hidradenitis suppurativa, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and psoriasis compared to a matched non-IMID population.
Methods: In this cohort study, all individuals with a recorded positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) test (January 2020 to January 2022) were identified from the Danish national registers.

Background: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) incidence in immigrants approximates that of the host country in progressive generations but less is known about their disease outcome. We investigate how the immigrant generation affects IBD outcomes.
Methods: In this population-based cohort study, the risks of first IBD-related hospitalization, first IBD-related surgery, need for advanced therapies, and perianal disease were compared between first- and second-generation immigrants (stratified into Western/non-Western) and native Danes, using Cox proportional hazard regression to estimate adjusted hazard ratios (aHRs), correcting for sex, age at IBD diagnosis, and calendar year of IBD diagnosis.

Clinical Question: In adult patients with inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis), or psoriasis taking biologic drugs, does proactive therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) improve outcomes as compared with standard care?
Context And Current Practice: Standard care for immune mediated inflammatory diseases includes prescribing biologic drugs at pre-determined doses. Dosing may be adjusted reactively, for example with increased disease activity. In proactive TDM, serum drug levels and anti-drug antibodies are measured irrespective of disease activity, and the drug dosing is adjusted to achieve target serum drug levels, usually within pre-specified therapeutic ranges.
Phage immunoprecipitation sequencing (PhIP-Seq) is a high-throughput platform that uses programmable phage display for serology. VirScan, a specific PhIP-Seq library encoding viral peptides from all known human viruses, enables comprehensive quantification of past viral exposures. We review its use in immune-mediated diseases (IMDs), highlighting its utility in identifying viral exposures in the context of IMD development.

Considering that ingestion is a main source of MNPs exposure, the impact of plastics is particularly relevant towards intestinal inflammation and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, the study of MNPs has been limited by obstacles relating to sample collection, preparation, and microplastics analysis based on optical microscopy and chemical analysis, which we detail in this review alongside potential solutions.
