Background And Objectives: Relapse is one of the most critical causes of transplant failure in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) receiving haploidentical-related donor (HID) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). We aimed to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-based predictive model for post-transplant relapse in patients with AML receiving HID HSCT.

Methods: This study included patients with consecutive AML (aged ≥ 12 years) receiving HID HSCT in complete remission (CR).

Background And Objectives: Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) with the translocation of chromosome (6;9)(p23;q34) forms the DEK-NUP214 fusion mRNA, which is a rare subtype (~1%). Owing to the paucity of this AML subtype, comprehensive studies analysing allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) outcomes are lacking.

Methods: We aimed to evaluate the dynamic evolution of transcripts before and after allo-HSCT as well as the impact of pretransplant status on posttransplant outcomes in AML patients in a retrospective, multicentre study ( = 14).

Layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have gained considerable attention as promising cathodes for aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) because of their tunable interlayer architecture and rich active sites for Zn storage. However, unmodified TMDs face significant challenges, including limited redox activity, sluggish kinetics, and insufficient structural stability during cycling. These limitations are primarily attributed to their narrow interlayer spacing, strong electrostatic interactions, the large ionic hydration radius, and their high binding energy of Zn ions.

Background: Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is a critical therapeutic strategy for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). However, relapse remains a major challenge, with limited effective options for managing post-transplant recurrence. Tumor cells escape immune surveillance by establishing a complex, immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME), which plays a central role in immune evasion and disease relapse.

Super enhancers (SEs) are a special type of enhancer with a unique shape and mechanism that allows them to regulate cellular processes by exhibiting a more significant gene transcription regulatory role than conventional enhancers. Tumorigenesis and metastasis may result from cancer cells exploiting SEs and developing a transcriptional addiction to them. Furthermore, tumor development may result from the translocation, creation, deletion, or duplication of SEs.

Cold stress severely impacts crop production, making it crucial to dissect the metabolic and transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of cold-resistant plants for breeding cold-tolerant varieties. This study systematically explored the response mechanism of to cold stress by integrating widely targeted metabolomics and genome-wide analysis for the first time. Metabolomics analysis revealed that 690 out of 810 metabolites showed significant differences after cold treatment at 4°C, with significant enrichment of flavonoids, amino acid derivatives, and alkaloids, involving key pathways such as antioxidant defense, osmotic adjustment, and signal transduction.

Article Synopsis
  • * The study investigates the role of CIB1, a gene involved in cell migration and adhesion, in relation to disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) in primary colorectal cancer patients and its connection to various histopathological growth patterns (HGPs) of liver metastases.
  • * Results show that high CIB1 expression is associated with poorer DFS and OS, independent of other factors, and is significantly linked to the aggressive replacement HGP, suggesting CIB1 could be a potential marker to classify aggressive liver metastases

Unlabelled: Treatment of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (RC) is based on neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by surgery. In order to reduce the development of therapy resistance, it is necessary to further improve previous treatment approaches. Recent in vivo experimental studies suggested that the reduction of tumor hypoxia by tumor vessel normalization (TVN), through the inhibition of the glycolytic activator PFKFB3, could significantly improve tumor response to therapy.

Bismuth-based materials have been recognized as the appealing anodes for potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) due to their high theoretical capacity. However, the kinetics sluggishness and capacity decline induced by the structure distortion predominately retard their further development. Here, a heterostructure of polyaniline intercalated BiOCO/MXene (BOC-PA/MXene) hybrids is reported via simple self-assembly strategy.

Ammonium vanadate with stable bi-layered structure and superior mass-specific capacity have emerged as competitive cathode materials for aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs). Nevertheless, fragile NH…O bonds and too strong electrostatic interaction by virtue of excessive NH will lead to sluggish Zn ion mobility, further largely affects the electro-chemical performance of ammonium vanadate in AZIBs. The present work incorporates polypyrrole (PPy) to partially replace NH in NHVO (NVO), resulting in the significantly enlarged interlayers (from 10.

Bismuth and bismuth-based compounds have been extensively studied as anodes as prospective candidates for rechargeable magnesium batteries (rMBs). However, the unsatisfactory magnesium-storage capability caused by the typical alloying reaction mechanism severely restricts the practical option for anodes in rMBs. Herein, polyaniline intercalated BiOCO nanosheets are prepared by an effective interlayer engineering strategy to fine-tune the layer structure of BiOCO, achieving enhanced magnesium-storage capacity, rate performance, as well as long cycle life.
