is an important zoonotic bacterium that is related to multiple diseases in humans, terrestrial animals, and aquatic animals. Bacterial septicemia caused by often results in high mortality and severe economic losses. Antibiotics, the major approach to dealing with bacterial infections, are limited due to the occurrence of antibiotic resistance.

Background: The survival rate of pancreatic cancer is low, and there is a lack of effective treatment.
Aim: To explore the epidemiological characteristics of patients with pancreatic cancer in China and compare multiple chemotherapy regimens at different stages.
Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted from 2005 to 2014, involving six cancer hospitals and eight general hospitals across seven geographical regions of China (East, South, North, Central, Southwest, Northwest, and Northeast).
Objective: Sleep health and correct complementary feeding are important considerations in public health. This study aims to confirm that correct complementary feeding (CCF) practices are complex and crucial, and they can also influence the development of healthy sleep patterns in infants' caregivers.
Methods: Using a convenience sampling method, we identified a cohort of Chongqing caregiver-infant pairs (CQ CG-Inf P).
Background: Irreversible electroporation (IRE) has shown promise in improving survival outcomes and activating the immune response in patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC). Given these immune-enhancing effects, we hypothesized that combining IRE with immune checkpoint inhibitors may further improve treatment outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of IRE combined with anti-PD-1 immunotherapy versus IRE alone in patients with LAPC.

As a result, remote areas such as the Penghu Islands have encountered unique challenges related to pediatric care. This study examined the effects of the pandemic on the emergency air medical transport (EAMT) of pediatric patients from the Penghu Islands to Taiwan.

It is characterized as a cold tumor with an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Liver dysfunction due to biliary obstruction can affect the inflammation index, an indicator of immune status.

Nevertheless, evidence of their impact on pancreatic cancer risk is limited and deserves further elucidation.
Methods: We selected genetic variants from the genes encoding the target proteins (angiotensin-converting enzyme, beta-1 adrenergic receptor, and solute carrier family 12 member 3) of the examined antihypertensive drugs as instruments based on expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) studies.
Background: Gestational weight gain (GWG) is crucial to maternal and neonatal health, yet many women fail to meet recommended guidelines, increasing the risk of complications. Digital health interventions offer promising solutions, but their effectiveness remains uncertain. This study evaluates the impact of such interventions on GWG and other maternal and neonatal outcomes.

In rice, leucine-rich repeat nucleotide-binding site (NLR) proteins are pivotal immune receptors in combating -triggered rice blast. However, the precise molecular mechanism underlying how NLR proteins regulate downstream signalling remains elusive due to the lack of knowledge regarding their direct downstream targets. The NLR protein Pigm-1 was cloned from Shuangkang 77009 in our laboratory.

However, nearly 85% of PDAC patients suffer from local or distant recurrence within 5 years after curative resection. The progression of recurrent lesions accelerates the mortality rate in PDAC patients.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive malignancy and the most common form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that occurs worldwide. To discover risk factors and pathogenesis of DLBCL, we performed the largest GWAS of DLBCL to date in samples of East Asian ancestry, consisting of 2,888 patients with DLBCL and 12,458 controls. The meta-analysis identified three novel loci, rs2233434 on 6p21.

Well-conserved mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades are essential for orchestrating of a wide range of cellular processes in plants, including defense responses against pathogen attack. NAC transcription factors (TFs) play important roles in plant immunity, but their targets and how they are regulated remain largely unknown. Here, we identified the TF OsNAC29 as a key component of a MAPK signaling pathway involved in rice (Oryza sativa) disease resistance.

In this study, we demonstrated that Niraparib exhibited a pronounced inhibitory effect on autophagy in PDAC both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, this inhibition was primarily attributed to niraparib's ability to disrupt the fusion process between autophagosomes and lysosomes, while potentially exerting a relatively minor impact on the initial stage of autophagy.

Despite the advances in antibody-guided cell typing and mass spectrometry-based proteomics, their integration is hindered by challenges for processing rare cells in the heterogeneous tissue context. Here, we introduce Spatial and Cell-type Proteomics (SCPro), which combines multiplexed imaging and flow cytometry with ion exchange-based protein aggregation capture technology to characterize spatial proteome heterogeneity with single-cell resolution. The SCPro is employed to explore the pancreatic tumor microenvironment and reveals the spatial alternations of over 5000 proteins by automatically dissecting up to 100 single cells guided by multi-color imaging of centimeter-scale formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue slide.

The changes in the carbon emissions in China's provincial construction industries are of high complexity. It is essential to understand the changes in the construction carbon emissions (CCEs) in China on the provincial scale. This study evaluates the factors and structural paths of the changes in provincial CCEs in China between 2012 and 2017 using the structural path decomposition analysis.

Plants need to fine-tune defense responses to maintain a robust but flexible host barrier to various pathogens. Helix-loop-helix/basic helix-loop-helix (HLH/bHLH) complexes play important roles in fine-tuning plant development. However, the function of these genes in plant immunity and how they are regulated remain obscure.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a class of small non-coding RNAs, function as master regulators of gene expression in plants. In this study, we co-overexpressed three copper-miRNAs (miR397, miR408, and miR528) in three major food crops (referred to as 3miR-OE), which simultaneously silenced several target laccase genes, resulting in reduced lignin contents but increased flavonoid metabolites.

In this paper, we focus on eddy current array (ECA) technology for defect detection in finely grooved structures of spinning cylinders, which are significantly affected by surface texture interference, lift-off distance, and mechanical dither. Unlike a single eddy current coil, an ECA, which arranges multiple eddy current coils in a specific configuration, offers not only higher accuracy and efficiency for defect detection but also the inherent properties of space and time for signal acquisition. To efficiently detect defects in finely grooved structures, we introduce a spatiotemporal self-attention mechanism to ECA testing, enabling the detection of defects of various sizes.
