Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant global health threat, with latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) serving as a major reservoir for new TB cases. This study aimed to identify antigens capable of distinguishing between active tuberculosis (ATB) and LTBI in interferon-γ release assays (IGRA).
Methods: Four candidate antigens for LTBI and two for ATB were selected based on a literature review.
The arousal state is defined as the degree to which an individual is aware of themselves and their surroundings, and is a crucial component of consciousness. Trigeminal nerve stimulation (TNS), a non-invasive clinical neuromodulation technique, has shown potential in aiding the functional recovery of patients with impaired consciousness. Understanding the specific neuronal subpopulations and circuits through which TNS improves arousal states is essential for advancing its clinical application.

Rationale: Although paracoccidioidomycosis is one of the most prevalent endemic mycoses in Latin American countries, where at least 10 million people are infected, the prevalence of paracoccidioidomycosis in China remains unknown because no related case has been reported, and its diagnosis is extremely challenging for local clinicians because of the complexity of disease progression and lack of specific evidence.
Patient Concerns: Here, we report the first case of PCM in a male patient with a long-term latent infection in China.
Diagnosis: The results of special staining, immunohistochemistry, lymph node biopsy pathology, and metagenomic second-generation sequencing indicated that the patient was infected with Paracoccidioides brasiliensis.
In the current complex economic environment, entrepreneurial enterprises, as a crucial force in China's economic transformation, have vital survival and development strategies. This study is grounded in resource-based theory, integrating strategic management and contingency theories. It establishes a theoretical model based on the influence pathway of "entrepreneurial orientation-market orientation-entrepreneurial performance", incorporating environmental uncertainty as a moderating variable.

For early detection of DILI, immune-inflammatory biomarkers are needed for better management. To explore the predictive effect of systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) combined with neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), eosinophil (EOS%), and CD4/CD8 on DILI occurrence in TB patients with HBsAg positive.

However, the reasons for this phenomenon are not yet clear. To further investigate this issue, we selected 391 Chinese SMEs to examine the relationships among green transformation, green innovation, government regulation, and green competitive advantages.

Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis), as a class of epigenetic drugs, are widely used to treat various cancers and other diseases involving abnormal gene expression.
Results: Specially, HDACis have emerged as a promising strategy to enhance the therapeutic effect of non-neoplastic conditions, including neurological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, renal diseases, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases, infectious diseases and rare diseases, along with their related mechanisms.
Newly established enterprises in China face significant challenges and opportunities, with persistently high mortality rates. Navigating market challenges and establishing sustainable competitive advantages are pressing issues for contemporary businesses. This study delves into the bridging role of business model innovation between entrepreneurial bricolage and entrepreneurial performance, with market orientation influencing the relationship boundaries.

However, 40% of patients exhibit suboptimal responses, with some experiencing relapse and refractory conditions. This study aimed to explore novel therapeutic strategies and elucidate their underlying mechanisms in DLBCL.

In this study, we examined the expression levels, mutations, and clinical significance of HDACs in DLBCL. Additionally, we investigated the therapeutic potential of Chidamide, a novel HDAC inhibitor, to provide scientific evidence for targeting HDACs in DLBCL patients.

While the essential role of miRNA in reprogramming and maintaining pluripotency is well studied, little is known about the functions of miRNA from exosomes in this context. To fill this research gap,we comprehensively obtained the 17 sets of cellular mRNA transcriptomic data with 3.

Trigeminal nerve stimulation (TNS) is an emerging, non-invasive, and effective neuromodulation therapy especially for patients suffering from brain function disorders. However, the treatment and recovery mechanisms of TNS remain poorly understood.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Trigeminal nerve stimulation (TNS) has been proposed as a promising intervention for coma awakening. However, the effect of TNS on patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness (pDoC) is still unclear.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of TNS in pDoC caused by stroke, trauma, and anoxia.

There is increasing interest in the production and consumption of tea ( L.) processed from purple-leaved cultivar due to their high anthocyanin content and health benefits. However, how and why seasonal changes affect anthocyanin accumulation in young tea leaves still remains obscured.

Long-term storage has greatly changed its aroma characteristics, but the material basis and transformation mechanism of its unique aroma are still unclear. In this study, flavor wheel, headspace gas chromatography ion mobility spectroscopy, chemometrics, and microbiomics were applied to study the flavor evolution and important aroma components during long-term storage of CWT, and core functional bacteria were screened.

Background: Electrical stimulation of the cerebellar fastigial nucleus (FNS) has been shown to protect animals against cerebral ischemic injury. However, the changes in cortical activation as a response to FNS have not been illustrated in humans.
Objective: This study aims to detect functional connectivity changes in the brain of stroke patients, and investigate the cortical activation caused by FNS through measuring the oxygenated hemoglobin concentration (HBO) in the cerebral cortex of stroke patients and healthy controls (HCs).
Glucocorticoid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a refractory disease. The treatment options for ONFH, especially nonsurgical ones, merit further investigation. To evaluate the combinatorial therapeutic effects of platelet-rich plasma clot releasate (PRCR) and umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) on glucocorticoid-induced ONFH, a dexamethasone (DEX)-treated cell model and a high-dose methylprednisolone (MPS)-treated rat model were established.

Background And Objective: Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a devastating disease, and there is some evidence that extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) and intra-articular platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection might alleviate pain and improve joint function in individuals with ONFH. The objective of this study was to compare the effectiveness and safety of PRP and ESWT in symptomatic ONFH patients.
Methods: A total of 60 patients aged 40-79 with unilateral ONFH at Association Research Circulation Osseous (ARCO) stages I, II, and III were randomly assigned to the PRP (N=30) or the ESWT group (N=30).

Intra-articular injection is frequently used as an effective diagnostic and treatment tool for hip joint diseases. However, the underlying treatment mechanism remains unclear because of a lack of experimental animal models. A challenge facing researchers is how to accurately and consistently perform injections involving animal hip joints.
