This study reports the isolation of 11 previously undescribed sesquiterpenoids from the root bark of Lycium chinense Mill, including a 1,10-secoeudesmane-type sesquiterpene (1), a 9,10-secoeudesmane-type sesquiterpene (2) and nine rearranged eudesmane sesquiterpenes (3-11). Structures elucidation of these compounds was established using 1D/2D NMR, electronic circular dichroism calculations along with DP4 probability analysis, and X-ray diffraction analysis of single crystals. Lyciiterpenoid E (1), a eudesmane sesquiterpenoid, is characterised by a bond cleavage between C-1 and C-10 while, lyciiterpenoid F (2) exhibits a bond cleavage between C-9 and C-10.

Histone lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) is overexpressed in various solid and hematological tumors, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target, but there are currently no LSD1 inhibitors available on the market. In this study we employed a computer-guided approach to identify novel LSD1/EGFR dual inhibitors as a potential therapeutic agent for non-small cell lung cancer. Msalais is produced from local grape juice in southern Xinjiang (China), by concentration and natural fermentation. In the current study, we combined partial least-square regression analysis based on sensory quantitative descriptive and odor active values (OAVs), aroma extract dilution analysis, and aroma recombination and omission tests to delineate the unique aromatic characteristics of traditional Msalais. Msalais has strong dried fruit, fruit jam, and fruity odors, intermediate-strength caramel and baked odors, and weak floral and herbaceous odors, attributed to 24 key aromatic compounds with OAV ≥1 or flavor dilution ≥4.

Objective: To assess white matter development in preterm infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) using fractional anisotropy (FA) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI).

Methods: Ninety-six infants with a gestational age of ≤32 weeks and a birth weight of <1 500 g who were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit within 24 hours after birth from August 2016 to April 2019 and underwent head MRI and DTI before discharge were enrolled.
