Introduction: The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, a robust surrogate marker of metabolic dysregulation reflecting both insulin resistance and lipid-glucose homeostasis, has emerged as a significant predictor of cerebrovascular outcomes. Given the critical role of metabolic-nutritional status in post-stroke recovery, we supposed that the TyG index may predict the prognosis of ischemic stroke patients who underwent thrombectomy in the posterior circulation.
Methods: We studied 60 patients with cerebral infarction who underwent emergency posterior circulation interventional thrombectomy at a comprehensive stroke center from January 2018 to July 2024.
Catalases are ideal biocatalysts for hydrogen peroxide removal in industrial wastewater and enzymatic processes, yet the practical application is hindered by poor thermostability. In this study, a highly active catalase was identified from Fictibacillus enclensis using a computer-assisted screening strategy. To overcome thermal instability, a computational design framework integrating ProteinMPNN-based sequence optimization with physics-based energy calculations was developed.

Structurally, PTPRK comprises with an extracellular domain involved in cell-cell adhesion, a transmembrane region, and two intracellular catalytic domains responsible for its phosphatase activity. Notably, PTPRK undergoes proteolytic cleavage by Furin and ADAM10, resulting in the generation of an extracellular E-subunit and a P-subunit.

Effective segmentation of cervical cancer tissue from magnetic resonance (MR) images is crucial for automatic detection, staging, and treatment planning of cervical cancer. This study develops an innovative deep learning model to enhance the automatic segmentation of cervical cancer lesions. We obtained 4063 T2WI small-field sagittal, coronal, and oblique axial images from 222 patients with pathologically confirmed cervical cancer.

A covalent organic framework Py-O-COF, which was directly synthesized from a monomer containing pyridine oxide with its partner imine condensation, could significantly promote the allylation of aromatic aldehydes with allyl(trichloro)silane in a heterogeneous manner.

Given that most DUL patients are in their reproductive years, treatments that preserve fertility are increasingly vital. This case report introduces an innovative hysteroscopic technique that forgoes uterine distension to remove multiple submucosal fibroids in a single procedure, maintaining endometrial integrity and fertility.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between gene mutation and clinicopathological features in ovarian cancer patients, so as to develop precise individualized treatment plan for patients.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer between January 2018 and July 2023 who underwent genetic testing were retrospectively analyzed. The clinicopathological characteristics (age, body mass index (BMI), family history of ovarian cancer, pregnancy history, menopause status, tumor size, histopathology, Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) staging, and ascites) of non-carriers and variant carriers were compared.
Background: Resistance can develop during treatment of advanced endometrial cancer (EC), leading to unsatisfactory results. Fanconi anemia complementation group D2 (Fancd2) has been shown to be closely related to drug resistance in cancer cells. Therefore, this study was designed to explore the correlation of Fancd2 with EC resistance and the mechanism of Fancd2.

Background: Observation studies have confirmed the association between the gut microbiome and reproductive endocrine diseases (REDs), namely, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and female infertility. However, their association has never been confirmed by a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.
Methods: We conducted a two-sample MR analysis to evaluate the relationship between the gut microbiome and the three aforementioned REDs.
BACKGROUND Cervical cancer is the fourth most commonly diagnosed malignant neoplasm among women worldwide. Despite improvements in treatment, the rate of postoperative metastasis remains a problem. Nomograms have been used to predict risk of tumor metastasis.

However, some studies have suggested that it may have adverse effects on patients' neurocognitive function. To clarify this operation's effect on neurocognitive function, we collected studies containing neurocognitive function evaluation for qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Purpose: Chordoma is a rare malignant bone tumor transformed from the remnants of notochord. It is characterized as highly aggressive and locally invasive, difficult to be completely removed by surgery, and has a poor clinical prognosis. Glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK-3β) is involved in many cellular processes.

Localizing nanoparticles on or near cell membranes remains a big challenge. We present a cell membrane targeting complex based on chondroitin sulfate (CS)-conjugated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (CS-SPIONs). After SPIONs were injected into the substantia nigra of rats, the subcellular distributions of SPIONs with and without CS modification have been evaluated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis.

The effective method of ionic liquid-based aqueous two-phase extraction, which involves ionic liquid (IL) (1-butyl-3-methyllimidazolium chloride, [C4mim]Cl) and inorganic salt (K2HPO4) coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), has been used to extract trace tilmicosin in real water samples which were passed through a 0.45 μm filter. The effects of the different types of salts, the concentration of K2HPO4 and of ILs, the pH value and temperature of the systems on the extraction efficiencies have all been investigated.
