Methods: Using population-based data in Hong Kong, we included CRD patients diagnosed from January 2011 to December 2021. Interrupted Time Series Analysis were applied to assess mortality, complications, and healthcare utilization rates during the "pre-COVID-19 pandemic" (January 2012-January 2020), "initial COVID-19 pandemic" (February 2020-February 2021), and "post-initial COVID-19 pandemic" (March 2021-December 2021) periods.

However, these batteries face short-circuit challenges caused by uncontrolled lithium dendrite growth during cycling. Using operando scanning electron microscopy and phase-field simulations, we determined that failure of SSBs is closely linked to the fatigue of the lithium metal anode, which markedly contributes to interface degradation and dendrite growth in SSBs.

While high-entropy alloy (HEA) catalysts seem to have the potential to break linear scaling relationships (LSRs) due to their structural complexity, the weighted averaging of properties among multiple principal components actually makes it challenging to diverge from the symmetry dependencies imposed by the LSRs. Herein, we develop a 'surface entropy reduction' method to induce the exsolution of a component with weak affinity for others, resulting in the formation of few-atom-layer metal (FL-M) on the surface of HEAs. These exsolved FL-M surpass the confines of the original configurational space of conventional HEAs, and collaborate with the HEA substrate, serving as geometrically separated active sites for multiple intermediates in a complex reaction.
