Endometriosis is a chronic systemic disease characterized by the presence of endometrium-like glands and/or stroma outside the uterus, usually with an associated inflammatory process. It affects around 5-10% of women worldwide, with chronic pelvic pain and infertility being the predominant symptoms. Although suspected clinically, transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the primary imaging tools for diagnosing pelvic endometriosis, as well as helping in pre-surgical mapping.

This study investigates the protective effects of β-sitosterol, a phytosterol with known antioxidant properties, against CUS-induced testicular damage in rats. Male Wistar rats were divided into Control, Chronic Unpredictable Stress (CUS), and CUS + β-sitosterol.

Adnexal masses are frequently encountered in general practice. Whether employing CT, US, or MRI, imaging plays a pivotal role in guiding appropriate treatment for patients with adnexal masses, potentially minimizing the need for surgery in benign cases and expediting the management of those with suspected malignancy. Accurately distinguishing benign from malignant adnexal masses can be challenging due to the confined pelvic space and the proximity of organs, making it difficult to determine their organ of origin or to distinguish tissue characteristics and imaging features.

The global transition towards sustainable living has led to a growing demand for innovative food products that enhance environmental sustainability. Traditional meat production is known for its high energy consumption and significant carbon emissions, necessitating alternative approaches. Plant-based meat (PBM) offers a promising solution to reduce the ecological footprint of animal agriculture.

The endophytic fungal assemblages from salt-tolerant wheat genotypes (KRL-213, KRL-210 and KRL-19) and from salt-sensitive wheat genotype (PBW-343) were characterized, identified and determined for the current study. Of the fifty fungal isolates collected from both the salt-tolerant and the salt-sensitive wheat genotypes, 8 isolates recovered from salt-tolerant varieties were found to be resistant at high salt concentrations.

Sarcopenia is a musculoskeletal disease that reduces muscle mass and strength in older individuals. The study investigates the effects of azilsartan (AZL) on skeletal muscle loss in natural sarcopenic rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats aged 4-6 months and 18-21 months were selected as young-matched control and natural-aged (sarcopenic) rats, respectively.

Materials And Methods: The Graduate Medical Education results from 2010-2011 to 2020-2021 were accessed for demographic information for major medical specialties (number of residents > 500 as of the 2020-2021 report). Subspecialties and fellowship programs were not included in this analysis.
Cucumis callosus (Kachri) is an under-exploited fruit of the Cucurbitaceae family, distributed majorly in the arid regions of India in the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The fruit is traditionally used by the native people at a small scale by home-level processing. It is a perennial herb that has been shown to possess therapeutic potential in certain disorders.

Diabetes accelerates muscle atrophy, leading to the deterioration of skeletal muscles. This study aimed to assess the potential of the β2-adrenoceptor agonist, salbutamol (SLB), to alleviate muscle atrophy in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Male Sprague Dawley rats were randomized into four groups (n=6): control, SLB, STZ (55 mg/kg, single i.

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of salbutamol (SLB) on skeletal muscle atrophy in high-fat diet (HFD)/streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into four groups ( = 6): control, SLB, HFD/STZ, and HFD/STZ + SLB (6 mg/kg orally for four weeks).

DECT allows detailed image reconstructions that have been shown to better characterize cardiothoracic pathologies, as compared to conventional CT techniques. DECT simultaneously detects two different X-ray energies, which enables generation of iodine density maps, virtual monoenergetic images, and effective atomic number maps (Z), among others.
