Glacial lakes play a crucial role in regulating the freshwater ecosystems of the region, but they also pose a significant threat to local infrastructure and populations due to flooding caused by glacial lake outbursts. Currently, a limited amount of research has focused on the monitoring and analysis of glacial lakes in southeastern Tibet.

A Novel Intersection: Cytomegalovirus Gastritis Following Cemiplimab and Talimogene Laherparepvec in a Patient With Advanced Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) reactivation is a rare complication in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), typically occurring after immunosuppressive therapy for immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Here, we report a unique case of severe CMV gastritis in a patient receiving cemiplimab, an anti-PD-1 antibody, and talimogene laherparepvec (T-VEC), an oncolytic virus, without prior irAEs or immunosuppressive treatment. A 63-year-old man with advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma received cemiplimab for one year and a single T-VEC injection for recurrent disease.

Study of the patterns of variations in ice lakes and the factors influencing these changes on the southeastern Tibetan plateau.

The ice lakes in the southeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau have exhibited a pronounced expansion against the backdrop of global warming, consequently amplifying the local risk of ice lake outburst disasters. However, surveys of ice lake changes in the entire region have consistently been incomplete due to the prevalent high cloud density. On the basis of Landsat remote sensing images and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud computing platform, in this study, the full convolution segmentation algorithm is utilized to accurately and comprehensively map the regional distribution of ice lakes in southeastern Tibet at consistent time intervals in 1993, 2008, and 2023.

Background: In recent years, natural bone extracellular matrix (ECM)-inspired materials have found widespread application as scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. However, the challenge of creating scaffolds that mimic natural bone ECM's mechanical strength and hierarchical nano-micro-macro structures remains. The purposes of this study were to introduce an innovative bone ECM-inspired scaffold that integrates a 3D-printed framework with hydroxyapatite (HAp) mineralized graphene oxide-collagen (GO-Col) microscaffolds and find its application in the repair of mandibular bone defects.

Methods: Seven databases were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCT) comparing AMT to routine care or conventional drug for alleviating CRPS of insomnia, depression, and anxiety before April 2020. Two independent reviewers performed the data extraction and assessed the risk of bias.

Two authors independently performed study selection, data extraction, and quality assessment to ensure systematic quality evaluation.

Early predictors of lung necrosis severity in children with community-acquired necrotizing pneumonia.

Objective: To analyze baseline clinical and laboratory characteristics and explore the possible predictors of lung necrosis severity in children with community-acquired necrotizing pneumonia (NP).

Effectiveness of intervention for aromatase inhibitor-associated musculoskeletal symptoms: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Aromatase inhibitor-associated musculoskeletal symptoms (AIMSS) are among the most common prominent side effects in patients using aromatase inhibitors (AIs) for breast cancer. Muscle and joint pain, morning stiffness, arthritis, and bone loss are common clinical symptoms in individuals. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been demonstrated to be useful in the treatment of AIMSS in previous investigations, although the sample sizes were limited, and systematic reviews were inadequate.

Treatment Outcomes and Effects of Ethanol Sclerotherapy on Systemic Coagulation Profile of Patients with Venous Malformation.

Background: Venous malformations (VMs) and sclerotherapy may disrupt the normal systemic coagulation profile in individuals. This study investigated a correlation between the clinical efficacy of sclerotherapy in the treatment of VMs and the changes in coagulation indexes to provide data that will inform the future application of this therapy.

Iatrogenic pneumocephalus and dural puncture are some causes of headache following cervical epidural injection. A 50-year-old woman presented with a sharp headache at the base of her skull following a cervical epidural injection for chronic neck pain. It was not relieved by lying down and was associated with nausea, vomiting, and photophobia without fever or neck rigidity.

Identification of FAM107A as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for prostate carcinoma.

FAM107A may have a dual role in regulating the biological functions of tumors; however, its role in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD) remains unknown. We analyzed FAM107A expression by employing databases to clarify its potential prognostic value for PRAD, as well as its role in the pathogenesis of PRAD. We observed that the FAM107A expression level is decreased in PRAD, and the reduced expression is considerably associated with poor overall survival and progression-free survival (PFS).

Methods: We retrieved RCTs published before January 24, 2021, from the MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chongqing VIP (VIP), and Wanfang databases. RCTs that compared acupuncture and/or moxibustion intervention with other treatments were included.

Identification of candidate biomarkers correlated with poor prognosis of breast cancer based on bioinformatics analysis.

Breast cancer (BC) is a malignancy with high incidence among women in the world. This study aims to screen key genes and potential prognostic biomarkers for BC using bioinformatics analysis. Total 58 normal tissues and 203 cancer tissues were collected from three Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) gene expression profiles, and then the differential expressed genes (DEGs) were identified.

Identification of Hub Genes and Small Molecule Drugs Associated with Acquired Resistance to Gefitinib in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Targeting EGFR, epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR TKIs), brings lights to the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Although T790M mutation responded as one of the main reasons of acquired resistance, still 15% of the resistance patients can't be explained by the known mechanisms. The purpose of this research was to identify some new mechanisms of gefitinib acquired resistance, and to predict small molecules drugs which may reverse drug resistance by integrated bioinformatics analysis.

Background: Extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) is characterized by extensive metastases, aggressive progression, and poor prognosis.
