Background: Although identifying factors contributing to aggressive behavior in individuals with schizophrenia is crucial for developing targeted prevention strategies and intervention, most studies were cross-sectional or short-term, and did not take into account the factor of urbanicity. This study aimed to develop a predictive model of aggressive behavior in individuals with schizophrenia in rural China.
Method: A total of 205 individuals with schizophrenia who were identified in 1994 and followed up in 2015 were included in the study.
Background: Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are synthetic chemicals with widespread environmental persistence and human exposure. Currently, no studies have used machine learning (ML) to predict depression based on PFAS exposure. This study aimed to develop an interpretable ML model to predict depression risk based on serum PFAS levels.

Objective: To explore the association between sleep disorders and symptoms of depression and anxiety in the youth and to analyze the influence of gender factors.
Methods: Using the Mental Health Status Survey Questionnaire for Adolescent Students compiled by Professor Maosheng Ran, a survey was conducted and 7247 valid responses were collected (valid response rate of 79.11%).
Background: Primary health care professionals (PHCPs) play a key role in the workforce of community mental health services in rural China. This study aimed to explore the mental illness-related stigma and its associated factors among PHCPs in rural communities.

Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) can play important roles in maintaining mental health and resistance to stress, and omega-3 PUFAs supplementation can display beneficial effects on both the prevention and treatment of depressive disorders. Although the underlying mechanisms are still unclear, accumulated evidence indicates that omega-3 PUFAs can exhibit pleiotropic effects on the neural structure and function. Thus, they play fundamental roles in brain activities involved in the mood regulation.

Methods: We investigated the effects of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), a classical antitumor drug with a high therapeutic index, on fibrotic scar formation, axonal regeneration, and functional recovery after spinal cord injury (SCI).
Background: The prognostic roles of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) have been reported in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), but their results remain controversial.
Methods: A total of 25 literatures with 28 cohorts involving 6847 HNSCC patients were included. The hazard ratio (HR) was pooled with 95% confidence interval (CI) using fixed-effects or random-effects models.
The silkworm, Bombyx mori, was used to produce recombinant endo-beta-glucanase II (rEGII). The EGII gene (egl2) was cloned from the cellulolytic fungus Trichoderma reesei and inserted into B. mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) genome using BmNPV/Bac-to-Bac expression vector.
