The College of American Pathologists (CAP) Biorepository Accreditation Program (BAP) was established in 2012 with the goal of providing standardized requirements that ensure high quality for procuring, processing, storing, distributing, and computerizing information of biospecimens for scientific investigations. CAP BAP was the first biorepository accreditation program, and, since the program started in 2012, the world's second biorepository accreditation standard was issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as ISO 20387 in 2018. CAP BAP serves as an interface between several programs and draws best practices from renowned organizations.

However, its effects on the tumor microenvironment (TME) remain unclear. In this study, we applied single-cell sequencing analysis to tumor tissues from MMTV-PyMT transgenic mice with mammary gland tumors with or without exposure to mental stress.

However, standardised and clinically validated HRD detection methodologies specifically tailored for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have yet to be established. Further research is needed to clarify the precise role and clinical implications of HRD in NSCLC.

Despite this increase, the complexity of neurotoxicity associated with METH is inadequately understood. Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-addictive plant ingredient in cannabis, has been used in preclinical and clinical studies for treating various neuropsychiatric disorders, but the mechanism by which CBD exerts therapeutic effects is still unclear.

Background: The progression and recurrence are the fatal prognostic factors in glioma patients. However, the therapeutic role and potential mechanism of TRAF7 in glioma patients remain largely unknown.
Methods: TRAF7 RNA-seq was analysed with the TCGA and CGGA databases between glioma tissues and normal brain tissues.
Introduction: Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) is the standard procedure and routine method for diagnosing thyroid nodules. However, indeterminate cytological results diagnoses present considerable challenges in clinical management. This study aimed to evaluate cyclin D1 immunocytochemistry and the Chinese thyroid imaging reporting and data system (C-TIRADS) score, individually and in combination with a simple gene test for cytological diagnosis of Bethesda category III-Ⅴ.

Although the molecular mechanism underlying METH-induced neurotoxicity has been explored, the dysfunction of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) neuroprotection in the context of METH neurotoxicity remains insufficiently understood. Our previous studies have found that METH induced neurotoxicity and BDNF expression in rat primary neurons, necessitating further research into this paradox.

Pharmacological and industrial researchers have been studying thiazole-containing derivatives in great detail because they have a lot of biological uses. These compounds are one of the best examples of a five-membered heterocyclic compound that has a lot of potential and has had a lot of success in recent decades.

This study aims to validate MRD detection of the seven most common IDH1 and IDH2 mutations in patients with AML using a QuantStudio 3D digital PCR platform. This assay demonstrated a high concordance for the variant allele frequencies between digital PCR and next-generation sequencing assays.

However, the sensitivity of fusion variations detection remains challenging. The protection of cell-free RNA (cfRNA) is critical for resolving the issue.

Nuclear Protein in Testis (NUT)-rearranged tumors comprise predominantly NUT carcinoma but also include certain lymphomas, leukemias, skin appendage tumors, and sarcomas. Although histologically diverse, all are genetically identified by oncogenic rearrangement in the NUTM1 gene. Many fusion partners occur, and NSD3 is NUT carcinoma's third most common partner.

This rare progression underscores the complexity of lymphomas associated with EBV infection and their unpredictable clinical courses. The patient's journey began with symptoms of intractable diarrhea, low appetite, and significant weight loss, leading to the diagnosis of stage 4B cHL, managed initially with brentuximab/doxorubicin, vinblastine, dacarbazine (AVD) chemotherapy.

A compound of NiCoS, MoS, and CNTs was successfully prepared using a simple one-pot hydrothermal method. The results revealed that the activation of PMS by Co-Ni-Mo/CNT yielded an exceptional Rhodamine B decolorization efficiency of 99% within 20 min for the Rhodamine B solution.

This study aimed to systematically analyze the HRD status of untreated NSCLC and its relationship with patient prognosis to further guide clinical care.
Methods: A total of 355 treatment-naïve NSCLC patients were retrospectively enrolled.

Soft tissue tumors (STTs) pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to their rarity, complexity, and morphological overlap. Accurate differentiation between benign and malignant STTs is important to set treatment directions, however, this task can be difficult. The integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) models can potentially be helpful in classifying these tumors.

Whole slide imaging (WSI) of Hematoxylin and Eosin-stained biopsy specimens has been used to predict chemoradiotherapy (CRT) response and overall survival (OS) of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients. This retrospective study collected 279 specimens in 89 non-surgical ESCC patients through endoscopic biopsy between January 2010 and January 2019. These patients were divided into a CRT response group (CR + PR group) and a CRT non-response group (SD + PD group).

Brain metastases (BMs) frequently occur in primary tumors such as lung cancer, breast cancer, and melanoma, and are associated with notably short natural survival. In addition to surgical interventions, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, radiotherapy (RT) is a crucial treatment for BM and encompasses whole-brain radiotherapy (WBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). Validating the efficacy and safety of treatment regimens through preclinical models is imperative for successful translation to clinical application.

However, there is limited data on TRPS1 expression in prostate and bladder cancers. A two-phase study was performed with 1) an exploratory cohort analyzing TRPS1 gene alterations in prostate, bladder, and breast carcinoma and TPRS1 mRNA expression data in prostate and bladder carcinoma; and 2) TRPS1 and GATA3 IHC in a confirmatory cohort in prostate, bladder, and breast carcinoma samples.

Infrared and visible image fusion can generate a fusion image with clear texture and prominent goals under extreme conditions. This capability is important for all-day climate detection and other tasks. However, most existing fusion methods for extracting features from infrared and visible images are based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs).

Adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC) is frequently misdiagnosed or overlooked in clinical practice due to its dual histological components and potential transformation from either adenocarcinoma (ADC) or squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Our study aimed to differentiate ASC from ADC and SCC by incorporating features of enhanced CTs and clinical characteristics to build radiomics and deep learning models. The classification models were trained in Xiangya Hospital and validated in two other independent hospitals.
