Background: The effect of caffeine in coffee, a popular beverage, on gastrointestinal symptoms has been the subject of ongoing debate worldwide. The present study explored the association between caffeine intake and bowel habits and Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Methods: Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2005-2010 were utilized for this cross-sectional survey.
This study examined the prevalence, clinical characteristics, disease knowledge, and quality of life impact of allergic rhinitis (AR) among college students in Dongguan, China. Using a customized questionnaire, we surveyed 1,531 participants (response rate: 85.1%) and identified an AR prevalence of 18.

This study aimed to investigate the association between NHHR and hepatic steatosis and liver fibrosis. The 2017-2020 national health and nutrition examination survey (NHANES) dataset was used for the cross-sectional survey.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA non-inferiority trial is usually conducted to investigate whether a new drug/treatment is no worse than a reference drug/treatment by a small, pre-specified, non-inferiority margin. This study aimed to assess the non-inferiority of the difference between two binary-outcome treatments in a matched-pairs design based on the method of variance of estimates recovery (MOVER). The processes for estimating the confidence interval of a single proportion included in the MOVER are the Wilson score interval, Agresti - Coull interval, Jeffreys interval, modified Jeffreys interval, score method with continuity correction, and arcsin interval.

Unfortunately, up to date, there are no highly effective treatment of medicine on HCC as lack of comprehensive cellular and molecular mechanism. According to the sources of human ancient history of medicine, traditional medicine could provide unique treatment to discontinue the challenging HCC.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is associated with poor prognosis due to many unknowns about its inflammatory microenvironment. As a pivotal proinflammatory cytokine, IL-17A exerts a protective effect on the survival and function of HCC cells. It is widely accepted that IL-17A plays an important role in regulating autophagy.
