Purpose: Yuzhi Zhixue (YZZX) granules, a classic Chinese herbal remedy, have demonstrated efficacy in managing hemorrhagic and inflammatory conditions, and are clinically used to treat uterine bleeding. Building upon their documented clinical applications and phytochemical composition, we hypothesized that YZZX may also possess therapeutic potential against ulcerative colitis (UC). This research aimed to examine the immunomodulatory effects of YZZX granules on Th1/Th17-mediated immune reactions in a murine UC model induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS).

Background: Acellular dermal matrices (ADMs) have been used for root coverage for over 25 years, yet few advancements have improved clinical outcomes or reduced complications. This case series evaluated the use of a novel microsurfaced ADM (mADM), which features a microtextured surface designed intended to promote healing and improve graft integration, for treating gingival recession defects.
Methods: Eleven RT1 gingival recession defects from five patients were treated using mADM between January and May 2023 by a single surgeon (S.

Aims: To externally validate the potential applicability of the 2018 classification of periodontal diseases as a risk assessment tool, through the use of a nomogram built on a multivariate predictor model.
Materials And Methods: Data from 459 patients with periodontitis, across four cohorts (three in the United States, and one in the United Kingdom), were retrospectively analysed. After staging and grading periodontitis before active periodontal therapy (APT), patients were categorised by the model as having 'low tooth loss' (≤ 1 teeth lost due periodontal reasons [TLP]) or 'high tooth loss' (≥ 2 TLP) at a 10-year follow-up.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Cerebral ischemic stroke (CIS) is one of the most important factors leading to death and disability, which seriously threaten the survival and health of patients. The intentional flora and its derived metabolites are demonstrated to play vital roles in the physiology and onset of CIS. Shouhui Tongbian Capsules (SHTB), a Traditional Chinese Medicine, could regulate gut microbiota and metabolites.

Background: This research seeks to formulate a prognostic model for forecasting prostate cancer recurrence by examining the interaction between mitochondrial function and programmed cell death (PCD).
Methods: The research involved analyzing four gene expression datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) using univariate Cox regression. These analyses identified genes linked with mitochondrial function and PCD that correlate with recurrence prognosis.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Mailuo Shutong Pill (MLST), a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), has been widely used for clearing heat and detoxifying, eliminating stasis and dredging meridians, dispelling dampness and diminishing swelling. Earlier study found that MLST could improve cerebral ischemic-reperfusion injury, however, the potential mechanism has not been well evaluated.
Aim Of Study: In this study, a well established and widely used mice model of middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R) was preformed to evaluate the protective function of MLST on cerebral ischemic-reperfusion injury and further discuss the potential pharmacological mechanisms.

This study aims to investigate the mechanism of Mailuo Shutong Pills(MLST) on posterior limb muscle swelling caused by femoral fracture(SCFF) through network pharmacology and animal experiments. The plasma components of MLST were analyzed by LC-MS, and the target and signal pathway of SCFF were predicted by network pharmacology and verified by molecular docking. SCFF model rats were established through animal experiments, and different doses of MLST were administered to detect the degree of limb swelling.

Jinteng Qingbi granules (JTQBG), a traditional Chinese medicine formulation, are widely used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) due to their satisfactory therapeutic efficacy. However, the underlying mechanism of action remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the protective effects of JTQBG against RA and elucidates its potential molecular mechanisms.

Due to the lack of a rapid and accurate segmentation technique, the patient-specific postoperative AD model is unavailable in clinical practice, resulting in impracticable 3D morphological and hemodynamic analyses during TEVAR assessment. This work aims to construct a deep learning-based segmentation framework for postoperative type-b AD.

The long-term stability and success of implants with early crestal bone loss (ECBL), especially when placed as two-stage implants, is uncertain. Hence, the aim of this retrospective study is to analyze the potential patient-level, tooth- and implant-related factors for ECBL around osseointegrated, submerged implants, before restoration as compared with healthy implants with no bone loss.

Aim Of The Study: The study aimed to investigate the potential mechanism of BYTQ against AR using the ovalbumin (OVA) -induced AR mice model. Integrating network pharmacology and proteomics to investigate possible targets of BYTQ for AR.
Background: Yinzhihuang granules (YZHG) is a commonly used Chinese patent medicine for the treatment of liver disease. However, the mechanism of YZHG in alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is still unclear.
Methods: This study combined liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technology, pharmacodynamics, network pharmacology and molecular docking methods to evaluate the potential mechanism of YZHG in the treatment of ALD.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Yinzhihuang granule (YZHG) has liver protective effect and can be used for clinical treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), but its material basis and mechanism need to be further clarified.
Aim Of The Study: This study aims to reveal the material basis and mechanism of YZHG treating NAFLD.
Materials And Methods: Serum pharmacochemistry were employed to identify the components from YZHG.

With the extension of the human life span and the increasing pressure of women's work and life, menopause syndrome (MPS) refers to a problem that puzzles almost all women worldwide. Hormone replacement treatment (HRT) can effectively mitigate the symptoms but can also exert adverse effects to a certain extent. et rhizome (GRR) is commonly made into a charcoal processed product, termed GRR Carbonisatas (GRRC), for use in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

The recently proposed semi-blind source separation (SBSS) method for nonlinear acoustic echo cancellation (NAEC) outperforms adaptive NAEC in attenuating the nonlinear acoustic echo. However, the multiplicative transfer function (MTF) approximation makes it unsuitable for real-time applications, especially in highly reverberant environments, and the natural gradient makes it hard to balance well between fast convergence speed and stability. In this paper, two more effective SBSS methods based on auxiliary-function-based independent vector analysis (AuxIVA) and independent low-rank matrix analysis (ILRMA) are proposed.

This study aims to clarify the effect of Jingfang Mixture on the treatment of chronic urticarial and its mechanism, and investigate the regulatory effect of chronic urticaria on the metabolic disorder of endogenous metabolites in the blood. The mice were randomly divided into normal group, model group, and Jingfang Mixture group, and modeling and administration continued for 21 d. The changes in endogenous small molecules in rat serum were determined by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-Q Exactive-Orbitrap-mass spectrometry(UHPLC-ESI-QE-Orbitrap-MS) metabolomics technology.

This study explored the curative effect of Jingfang Mixture on urticaria mice induced by aluminum hydroxide/ovalbumin, and discussed its mechanism. Sixty male Kunming mice were randomly divided into a normal group, a model group, three Jingfang Mixture(low-dose, medium-dose, and high-dose) groups, and a positive drug(cetirizine hydrochloride) group. The urticarial model in mice was induced by the intraperitoneal injection of the mixed solution of ovalbumin and aluminum hydroxide.
