This study evaluated whether an Rheumatoid Factor RF-absorbent ELISA assay reduces false-positive measles IgM results in low-prevalence settings. Among 76 initially reactive samples, only 7 remained positive or borderline upon retesting, demonstrating a 91 % reduction. These findings support the use of RF-blocking diagnostics to improve test specificity and surveillance accuracy.
